1) When your boss worries about being able to hire someone competant enough to maintain your code when you're gone.

2) When your boss knows you took a video camera to the office Christmas party.

When your secretary puts the dress in the wash? ;) hehehe

**: When - even as a temp at the company - you're asked to make decisions that have lost other people their jobs.
..and indeed your boss worries about who's going to do your job while you're on holiday.
-
When you're the only one in your office who knows anything about computers.
-
When you've managed to construct an intricate web of lies to the point that everyone thinks you're some kind of spy, put in place by the Board.
When you've managed to construct an elaborate web of servers, hubs, switchers and half-assed cabling to the point where they all crash if you're not constantly on-hand to fix the 'random errors'.
-
When you can outsource your job (http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/769493.cms)

Says a programmer on Slashdot.org who outsourced his job: "About a year ago I hired a developer in India to do my job. I pay him $12,000 out of the $67,000 I get. He's happy to have the work. I'm happy that I have to work only 90 minutes a day just supervising the code
LOL It's funny, but does he realises how poorly that reads? ;)

Owning your own company, screening your own clients, and hiring your own staff. Im the first to know if we are doing well, or doing badly and the last line of defense if anything bad happens.
