were likely to be getting lots of unexperienced new people in here over the next few days this is just a reminder that not everyone is as good at understanding FS modding as most of us tend to be, so if someone asks a 'stupid' question or displays a lack of understanding in things like basic operateing system funnctionality (ie doesn't get it when you say "freespace root directory" or "comand line options") remember to cut them extra slack.

I know how they/you feel 'bout that.
First time I tried building GCC 2.95.3, the instruction guide confused the hell outta me.  All cuz I didn't know what "object dir" and "source dir" meant. :P

The FreeSpace root canal?  Issat a Terran, Vasudan, or Shivan carrot?  Actually, do I wanna know what a Shivan carrot looks like?  Did they get so much vitamin WhatEverLetterItIsForCarrotsThatSupposedlyHelfYourVision that their eyes glow?
