At the age of 75, everyone has a good chance to die.
I like the music of Alien 1, it is not as good as 'The professional''s, but it was really good.

It's a loss for the Film Music world :(
-
May he rest in peace...
His score for Star Trek was one of the best pieces of music that I have ever listened to.
-
Well, Star Trek is officially fubared now.... :sigh:

Jerry Goldsmith wrote the theme for Star Trek: First Contact, IMHO one of the finest pieces of opening music ever written for a sci-fi film.
This is in addition to the other wonderful stuff that he penned. He will be missed.

Odd, that's exactly the piece of music that came to my mind when I read the news on his death.
