I am pretty damn happy with my Samsung 17" 172X. :)
Funny thing is that most of those online reviews about this model received 25ms version of it and only very few mentions about it in their reviews. :) (learned about it afterwards) The real 12ms retail version has NO ghosting at all. :)

Since they mention ghosting in that article, it is 25ms model as well even though specs say it is 12ms. Didn't read it through so they might actually mention that somewhere.

I've read up everywhere I can about that screen, and the 16ms/25ms story is - as far as I can tell - this: Early (test?) models may have been 25ms, but HP rapidly changed to 16ms panels. However, the documentation on HP's site or in the manuals (couldn't figure out which) wasn't updated until much later. Thus the confusion.
However, HP has stated that all those models are 16ms.

Similar confusion as with Samsung 172X then. :) (retail is 12ms, reviewed pre-retail models were 25ms)

Sorry, couldn't resist.

[color=66ff00]The thing I love about HP is if that thing ever breaks, do they send you a shiny new one? No they don't. They'll send you a 'refurbished' one.
That has been their long running practice with CD-writers and the like anyhow.
