I actived it in the launcher and i cant see any black hole or anything on the ship i attack... do i need to do somethine else?

You need the graphics and modified tables... There's a thread started by Lightspeed that contains the files. You'll have to search for it, though.

I'm finding that decals don't seem to appear if you have environment mapping on, is this known about? And does anyone else get this?

i putted the tbl in table the tga in effect. i still cant see the decals.

uhh..
does anyone else get this? I certanly don't, the only potental problem in the current decal implementation is some zfighting. has this been like this all along or has it croped up ina spcific build?

I'll keep trying combinations of things Bobboau, I'm not actually sure if I've tried decal code without environment mapping, I'll try that tomorrow and let you know how it went :)

Remember that anything in the 'Experimental' area of the launcher is not garaunteed to work everywhere Fear, that's why it's still in the experimental stage ;)

anyway i will put fs2 for a while because of the major ram leak.
any1 now when 3.7 going to come out? or just a fix?
