I've searched over the forum but didn't find anything matching my problem. If i overlooked something plz don't mind of me.
To be specific: Whenever i enable movies on launcher, i get the opening screen and then CTD. However, this doesn't happen if i select OpenGL video mode -which is still broken on current FSOpen versions (later than 3.6 release) as we know-.
I get this only when i use executables later than 3.6. No problems at all with 3.6 and older versions.
I use all the latest MediaVPs and i constantly update the executable, whenever a new version is abaillable and launcher 5.0 as well.
Note: Cutscenes and Intro are encoded with DivX 5.03 and 1150 video datarate by myself from the original ones on the FS2 CDs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

The MediaVPs cause the problem, as far as I know. But I may be mistaken. I heard something like that a few days back, but my memory is not so clear that I could remember perfectly.

It's nothing to do with the media.vp files. The movie playing code is broken. The SCP are apparently aware and Taylor said he'd be looking into it.
Simply move the movie files to a subfolder so the game doesn't use them for the time being.

That's what i did to ensure that i bypassed the problem, but i wanted to discuss it here just in case it hadn't been taken notice of. Ty all for your feedback and since these are my very first posts in SCP forum,
Glad to be here ppl :)

:welcome:
Welcome to the HLP, Adkara.
The exits are to your left and right. Flamethrowers are under your seats, but they are sometimes filled with water. If this occurs, please check the lockers for the old shotguns.
Stay away from the admin's weapon lockers and the air vents. If you see a large, insectoid-looking creature inhabiting the latter, throw him a large piece of meat (preferably not yourself), and he will leave you alone.
Thank you and have a nice day!
