I really want to see that t-shirt, so I can decide who was acting thick (est?)

Would have been nice

If people weren't so sue-happy this wouldn't be necessary. :sigh:
Woe be for the days when a bared breast wasn't breaking news. Sometimes I think our cavemen ancestors were more 'mature' than our supposedly-advanced civillization.
<-- Is it a bit grumpy from sleep-deprivation

oh boy, how did i know i'd see this:
The couple said the move violated their constitutional right to free speech.
*sighs*

[color=66ff00]Just had a thought...
Bet this thread gets more views than any other with the possible exception of a DS or FS3 thread.

If only 'twere a woman wearing the shirt, with no bra, that when she took it off, real boobies were displayed, thereby resulting in sweet, sweet irony.
-
[color=66ff00]Note the couple's surname: Arela
Add an o and an e and you get Areolae.
Now that's irony!

Jesus Christ that's tenuous, Meg

hmm, I almost missed this gem, way at the bottom of the article.
The couple was escorted by federal marshalls to the nearest free speech zone, where they were allowed to stay until a contamination crew arrived on the scene to contain the menace and test nearby victims for possible exposure.
The above quote is 100% real. It is in no way ficticious. It is in no way an attempt at humour. Anyone who suggests otherwise is probably "in on it" and the incoherent ramblings of such a madman are to be disregarded. The Guide is never wrong, it is reality that is at fault.

OMG...
It's there right to freedom of speech UNTIL they interact with other peoples given rights.
People are so stupid
-
only in the US people are scared of a bare breast, or a picture thereof :D
-
please would the flaming stop against the United States, sure we sometimes deserve it but it becomes annoying. Kindof like the constant flaming of Jp3 at a Jurassic Park forum, we all know it sucked but do we have to keep hearing about it.

Methinks people need to pay more attention in health class if they don't know what an areola is. :p (That or the education system needs a solid kick to the head)

It seems all of the Americans in the North and Northeast parts of the country whine about the most stuff I have ever seen. Sues every way you look, big news about someone spilling hot coffee in their lap and filing a LAWSUIT because of it. Us southern people try and relax a bit. :wtf:
-
Were a little "too" free IMHO
-
Dumbasses. Every last one!
And if you think this applies to you. Well. It probably does.
-
:nervous:
Not to worry, I hate the world and I hate Humanity ( or atleast what it has become), I'm not Patriotical (to a point).
Most of all I hate Americans taking advantages at there supposed freedom :doubt:
EDIT: BTW, why would you say something like that?
You dont need to insult me because I'm from another nationality, plus you don't even know me...

[color=66ff00]I think it was on bash.org that I read someone's idea to fix the world:
Take all the safety labels off everything and let nature run its course.

I would pay to see that...

... the more I think about it, the more I realize how ingenious it is :drevil:

A little backstory?
I'M ****ING TIRED OF THAT!!!!
Stop it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FSDJOFSPIODFJOPSDFL:opgjopjpgwerioGJPKOAAHJAHAHAHAHHHHHHHHHHF!!!!!!!!
It DOESN'T matter where you live!!!! You're all people, EVERYBODY! England or wherever has no better people in it!! the exact same breed of people... Except America is ran by a GOVERNMENT FULL OF TARDS!!!
Why are you so Arogent!?(SP?)
-
uhh...what?
I think this all fits in nicely with the whole "family (American, relgious, call it what you will) values" type agenda. You know, like John Ashcroft (Attorney General) covering up a naked statue with a sash. He did that you know. Its exactly like that one Simpsons episode, I kid you not.

I wonder how long before someone established the Junior Anti-Sex League...

Why must all people be critized for what there STUPID country does...
For **** sake... this makes me sick!!!
I will only say one thing...
If what you al say is true, I think I'll HATE Germans and Japs because they fought my country in WWII...
I Hate ALL white people because they enslaved black and Indian people.
You Rictor I thought you would understand... :(
Is there truly no one that thinks the way I do?
I DON"T SHARE AMERICAN VAlUES!!! I'm too smart to realize that America is not what it seems and tells you it is.
But, my family they are!!! It's in there music, it's in there lifes everyday, you don't believe this way you should be charged with treason... Yet, I don't have the balls to tell them, but they are good people and work hard for a living!!! Believe me my mom works overtime and on weekends for no extra pay... My dad is a firefighter and a ambulence driver and the best person I know!!!
I cannot express how disappointed I'am to here this
:(

Calm down man. No one ever mentioned anything about all Americans being a certain way, I don't know where you're getting this from. I personally believe that the vast majority of Americans, and indeed people in general, this that what the airline did is stupid and that such stringent moral codes should not be forced on the public. This has nothing to do with the American people, and certainly not with you or your family, it has to do with an ignorant and ultra-conservative government, as well as the a highly restrictive and conservative polcies enacted by certain businesses.
I now that the actions of the American government do not always speak for its citizens. Thats the case pretty much anywhere.
edit: To clarify, I used the term "American values" (in quotes on purpose, because it is not accepted as fact) in my previous post because for certain people, specifically those supportive of such invasive measures, "American values" is synonymous with "Christian values", "family values", "traditional values" and so forth. It was not meant as a generalization against all Americans, I would have thought that is obvious.

Not trying to be too arrogant or anything, we may be stupid and fat and downright slobbish, but we could kick your all asses:p , and im very suprised Bush hasnt taken over the world yet

That's rather insulting. Would you like it if I used Southern stereotypes to describe you? Any stereotype is by its very nature insulting, and insults your own intelligence by using it.

It may be somewhat unfair to people in the States who are different form the norm, but your government was voted in by American citizens. That means that (theoretically, there's all that electoral college crap) the majority of U.S. citizens thought Bush (and therefore his political opinions, what he'd do for the country, his religious affiliations, his running mates, so on) was fit for running the country.
That means voting citizens are obviously going to be responsible for what the government does and are a reflection of it. That's why you get criticised.
Eventually when you can vote, you can help push the government (hence the people's image) in a direction to where it won't be mocked by everyone else (another reason you shouldn't be apathetic concerning politics).
BTW: I'm not saying that we should consider you or any other specific American as an idiot (or whatever). I'm just talking about situations where you refer to American society in general.
-
The thing is that I can see both sides of the arguement.
Americans in general are uptight about sex and nudity to a somewhat ridiculous degree but on the other hand I can understand why some people might not want their young children exposed to sexual images.
Now I haven't seen the picture on the shirt but the description says that it shows a man and a woman who has her breasts out.
Given that description I'd say that most likely it was something sexual being depicted on there rather than something artistic (I doubt this was a T-shirt of the Venus De Milo somehow). In which case since young children are frequently present on planes I can understand why the crew might have a problem with it.
Let me give a suitable analogy. If you took your kids to McDonalds and a bunch of people walked in using every swear word under the sun you'd probably not be too happy about them. Sure under the first amendment they have the right to swear as much as they like in front of 5 year olds but I'm sure no one would complain much if the staff told them to leave.
Basically I like breasts as much as the next man but there is a time and a place for them and as far as I can gather this wasn't it.
Now if he'd been thrown out of a bar it would be another matter :D

He's probably sick of people being confused by the phrase 'there's that tit on the telly again', so he's removed the ambiguity.

Long?
..funded partly by the Bush administration, which is a strong supporter of abstinence. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3699851.stm)
The state of Louisiana, for example, has abolished all programmes providing what is known as comprehensive sex education - classes which give students information about contraception and abortion in addition to encouraging them to wait before entering into a sexual relationship. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/3117108.stm)
Yay backwardness!

Not to mention the fact that True Love Waits not only doesn't work but actually leaves kids more vulnerable to disease and pregnancy.

You know I'm right. All I am saying is that I have seen more lawsuits filed for various reasons, both stupid, and some perfectly legitimate, example, someone getting ripped off in business, cheating the law, etc, and some things like spilled coffee and such. All I am saying is that I see more of that stuff in the NORTH! I didnt say ALL northern people sue wherever they can. In fact its mostly those in the northeast states. People in South Dakota are pretty laid back when i think about it.
But, for some reason, I have yet to see a common redneck run up to me with a "boomstick" and a shot of "XXX" beer in a jug, with crooked teeth and a half-hearted smile, yipping out for no particular reason at all. I have been to the west, the east, and the south of the south. In fact, here in Texas every expects us to own farms, horses, be lazy cowboys who have farms and do all sorts of weird **** that everyone thinks we do. We dont. I have never seen a redneck, honestly, just like I have never seen a drunk guy. The only drunk guy who was within a few yards of me was a guy who was just OUT of it at my aunts house in South Dakota. He was gone man... :wtf:
But, it seems we are hijacking this thread about steryotypes. Everyone has their own visions, everyone has their own thoughts, and it helps to meet someone first before you try and judge them. Can I get an amen? I have been to northeastern states, I have read news there, I have interacted with people there, and then when I come home I hear more news about them. Guess who just filed a lawsuit? :doubt:
