If you were to have your own gaming section, what would you like to see covered in it? Anything pertaining to games at all, what would you like to see put in there? Features, games in particular, what?

If I had my own gaming section, I dunno... probably a general discussion area... a forum for mods and the like... definitely one for campaigns too. And who knows, if people ever started doing stuff with the source code of the game, I'd probably open up forums for those too. :nervous:

The title of this thread makes it appear to be much more important than it really is. [/captain Obvious]

I like Steak's idea. :p

Everything that you can muster. The internet is saturated with that stuff as it is.

You think? I don't know, I have doubts as to whether that kind of thing would ever become anything. ;)

Seriously though, I would go for an uncovered area in the game you're looking at. That's kind of how HLP started - going for mod support. Back in those days, the community was soaked through with Fredders - modders were very, very rare. If you can find a niche, fill it. I mean, you can do what everyone else does too, but then it just becomes a competition for who can do the same old thing better than everyone else - and that doesn't lead to collaboration, it leads to rivalry (not the good type, often). Find something new.

How about we go off Freepsace 2 for a second. A lot of people havent heard of it, let alone SCP. I doubt anyone who visited the site would know what the hell I am talking about.

A website for the creation of particle sprites for the Freespace 2 engine!

Bringing parts and sprite together

Ok, I'll make this clear a second time:

We are not focusing on one game. The last thing I would want to see is another fan site dedicated to a game. We are talking about games in general.

I suggest an agreement forum. A place where individuals can come together and agree to disagree, then to agree again.

Could be good for mediation...

Downloads are good. :D

Strategy guide stuff, maybe fan-fiction. Definantly a forum for discussion about any aspect of the game as well.

Unless, however, its healthy flaming. :D

But if we get a particularly stupid n00b, what do we do?

seems ironic coming from me, but whatever...

EDIT: we COULD have a "n00b" forum which would actually be a BBQ forum.
