im having trouble getting pcs to autogen multiple insignias. im trying to autogen it by itself then import it into an existing model. for now im only concerned with the first lod but i want to have multiple insignia locations on the ship. i followed bob's autogen tutorial to the leter and its not rendering corectly. any sugestions, including exaples of heirarchy that is known to work would be apriceated.

No Idea. Most modders never bothered with insignias.

i wanted to put them in for the next release of nukemod, but they just come out wierd looking. i can get one insignia to work on a ship, but any more than that doesnt.

Bob used to have an Apollo with multiple insignia on it - you should ask him for a copy of the cob if you haven't already. (I don't know if it's availabe on bobs insiginia tut, I've never seen that).
The alternative would be to use the SCP texture replace thing.... it's probably a bit more awkward, but i'm not sure if the insignia have any form of shading implemented, RE for reduced ambient settings / shadowing.

yea il talk to bob about that. i dont really want to use texture replacement cause id have to reconvert all the models yet again (which i really dont want to do untill i finally get around to implementing dibrits models and lods), the insignia's i just have to convert in their own files and then use pcs's chunk import feature.

just lump all the insigs into one

i tried that, that just makes em screwy. i also tryed making them lods, that way all i had to do is change the lod numbers in the other 3 insignias. that didnt work. it seems no mater how i grouped them they would always convert as a single insignia. everythings triangulated and all that and i named ecerything the way it was in the autogen tutorial.
