so um... yeah. This here's a fighter model I've been working on, my first decent one anyway. The two big cannons are designed to shoot explosive shells really, really far for surgical strikes on capships and such. I know the model isn't very detailed I'm just working out the basic shape right now.

Well?
-
unique...... i like
-
I... don't know... It needs a tail :P
-
it's kind of...it needs work.
-
You need a more defined Neck IMO. Hell - you need a neck :p
-
Obviously it needs a lot of work but the basic shape is nice enough (If a little atmospheric).
-
Looks like an uprated fighter from Tyrian or something o_O
-
hard pressed for inspiration sniperdude?
-
It's nowhere near finished, I know. Right now it's just a box with a cockpit and guns. Oh and my screen name had no influence on this, I just thought it up on the spot when I registered :p
-
looks some sort Sniper ship with those guns, now just work it
anyway looks good :)
-
I don't like the shape. Looks too much to me like a box with wings and some big guns sticking out of it. Good fighters in my opinion need to have a more unique look than that.
-
With some considerable smoothing, it could turn into a Ulysses MK.II.
-
Looks like a turret. In a good way:yes:
-
Smooth, get rid of huge turrets, and add some more detail to te back and to the cockpit and it'sll look pretty good :)
-
Thank you all for your suggestions. I do plan on making the fuselage a lot more detailed, although I'm not sure how yet. The huge guns have to stay since they're the whole point of the fighter.
-
Did you try putting them under or over the fuselage itself?
I think they would look much better if they where somehow "integrated" into the hull...
-
I was considering putting engines over and under the fuselage and/or some primaries.
-
Have the gun barrells run the full length of the fuselage, slung underneath and connecting to the hull at their rear.
