*votes for Q* - and note that that's Q as in Desmond Llewellyn, you ST fanboys...
-
Mein Fuhrer! I can walk!
-
As cool as Q is, Scully does have the hotness thing going on.. tough choice...
-
See? When I read 'Q' I don't think ST, i think James Bond... :nervous:
-
The late great Q.
Scully was a close second.
-
Q just makes exploding pens and jetpacks, but Scully does alien autopsies and finds government implants in people and such. Plus she's hotter than Q :p
-
Q. No competition.
Although, if they'd included Professor Frinck.........
Edit; give me an exploding pen and jetpack over a died smelly green man any day
-
So is John Cleese officially 'R'?
-
Bah. No Proffessor Farnsworth from futurama.

It was a toss up between THE DOCTOR and Spock. I like Trek more so I went with the Vulcan.

Certain... hrmm.... sacrifices must be made! Such as the monogamous marriage...

What's a boffin?
-
One of them weird English terms... DG uses alot of it. :p
-
What does it mean, though? I can't contribute because I don't know who qualifies.
-
Hmm, from the context, boffin probably means scientist, though you never can tell with those tricksy British, it could just as well mean lamp-post.
-
Well, I voted for Dr. Strangelove.

That's got to be the best name ever.
-
[color=66ff00]A boffin is someone who's quite smart or ingenious, it almost always has scientific overtones.

-
Scully.
Cause at least, she's there throughout the episode/movie, rather than just a one-time appearance.
-
Q of course
-
I dunno how some of those people got into that list. I mean, Scully is not a boffin. She's too hot to be a boffin.
Mulder could be a boffin but not Scully.
The word Boffin, to me, means Geek, Lab coat, Glasses.
It's definitely between the Back to the Future mad scientist guy (GREAT SCOTT!) and Q (Will you cut that out 007!) from that list :)
Outside the list, how about Gordan Freeman (HalfLife) or John Carmack?
Frasier Crane? Actually no, not Frasier... eck.
-
I voted for the Doctor, our favorite renegade Time Lord. :)
-
He's not that much of a renegade. His human half just happens to include a conscience and a sense of justice which the Galafreyans don't seem to have in great supply seeing as they didn't kill the Master and instead let him **** with the timeline and let the Doctor do their dirty work.

She's supposed to be brilliant as well as hot.
-
I'm sorry, Scully isn't hot.
-
Well, keep in mind, she's in her 40s now. And she does have a certain charm, though I will admit that she's not outright beautiful.
-
And the winner is.... (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/3625256.stm)

[q]4. Q (James Bond) – 9 per cent [/q]

Too mainstream for the BBC 'cult' website, I'd guess.
-
I was hoping for someone to say "I never joke about my work 007"... but you're all failures and I'm highly disappointed :p

Tbh, bbc cult really is mainstream stuff. They had Buffy under cult.
