NOTE: Please don't turn this into a religion or political thread. Plus these are my outlooks and I want feedback if you have something to add or correct. :)
What I mean is:
Are you the type of person that lives there live with there eyes open or closed?
Eyes Closed: You live with no care about pretty much anything but what you is there in black and white. (I.E. You see color, but you don't care how it works) Your life is caught up in illusions/ abusing sex and/or drugs, all feelings that can be accomplished by in other ways. I hope I'm making sense :sigh: Not caring of the consicenses you want to live your short meaningless life without regret. You listen to the media and believe what they are telling you, because your country thinks it's right.
Eyes Open: You're curious about the world, what it can become and don't give in to what people and the media think is right. You actually think logicaly about decisions around you even if it affects what people think about you. You're interrested in more things that people could care less about.
Is my outlook right?
Feel free to tell me why you think so or not and we can strengthen our knowledge on the way people live their lives, this is just on my personal experience, so.... You will most likely have different opinions.

I would say I'm generally what you would classify as an "eyes open" person, but I will admit, I do have my preconceptions on certain subjects, and it takes a lot to convince me otherwise. Hey, at least I'm not bull****ting. In my defense, these views are mostly based on previously learned truths, so its not as ig though they're baseless.

it depends me online is a open eyes but the REAL me i would say is eyes closed and i decided i'll go by the real me

But, I have my reasons.

I find that my eyes are open, sometimes I close them and wander off if my own little world just to escaped reality for a little while.

i don't think it's that simple, sometimes closed-eye people will have revelationary experiences, sometimes open-eye people can be really really stupid about things.

I don't agree with the eyes closed with reference to sex and drugs. I don't think that all people that do drugs are media sheep, in fact, most people I've met that have done any amount of drugs actually reject most media that is spoonfed to them.

does it count as eyes open if my main policy is to take what's in the Daily Mail and then belive the exact opposite?

I don't much like the phrasing of the original post. Its sort of like saying "Do you believe in strangling babies at birth or are you some sort of closet communist?"
If you're asking me if I blindly follow anything at all then I guess my eyes are wide open. I question everything.

If your eyes were closed, how would you be able to see the screen and post in the poll?

Plus, I didn't quite explain it right either, I shouldn't have made examples of what "I" personally thought, so

In my opinion closing your eyes is not ignorance. It's knowing the facts and pretending they don't exist.

well, i'm sure everyone is somewhere in the middle. maybe my problem is the definition of the categories.
on the one hand, i try to live as care-free as possible. i feel that sex is important and i let my imagination run pretty rampant. and i've done more than my share of drinking and partying. but on the other hand, i am also pretty concerned when it comes to political issues. i follow world events and study world history and philosophies as often as i can. balance. it's all about balance.

Based on your description of the choices, I would have to go with eyes open. I have my own ideas on what is right and wrong and the way things should be.

An example would be people believing blindly in what the media says. When someone gives evidence (of when the media is lying) to people like that who're closed-minded they will reject the evidence to keep their convenient, closed world-view safe.
An ignorant (and open minded) person would see the evidence (if it was good enough to draw a conclusion from) and accept the new facts.

I tend to be "Eyes Open" most of the time despite what you may think. Unfortunately, the rest of my immeadiate family, my sister are the opposite side of the field, to the point where I reguarly get lectures on how I need to straighten up and be more christian in my dealings and behaviors.
Example: I've been reading Asimov recently, and this past weekend I asked my parents what they thought about the eventual development of Asimovian Positronic Robots. I made the case for them and they freaked out! They started ranting about how they would take away men's jobs and put people into a bad situation financially. I tried to explain that APRs would remove much of the menialness that has kept Humanity from reaching their full potential, allowing all of humanity to pursue intellectual endevours, but they would have none of it! I finally gave up and retreated back into my book(we were all in a car on the way back from my grandmother's home near Petoskey, MI) and they started in with the same old lecture. Needless to say they didn't get it.

anyway, who here thinks this is just an utterly stupid poll, it's like are you a smart person, or an utterly braindead vegetable moron idiot that needs to be reminded to breath.
