A friend of mine and myself are searching for a good game that supports cooperative mode to play on LAN. Preferably some sort of FPS. I've heard Medal of Honor has coop-support, can someone confirm that ?
Any other (good) suggestions are welcome.

Serious Sam was bloody good fun in coop. Not many online servers if you want to play outside of a Lan, though.
UT2004 also has co-op in a sense - both in a specific game mode (invasion - fight lots of beasties), and also simply by playing vs bots.
FS2 has a co-op main campaign lying about, IIRC.
Offhand, that's all I can think of. I never knew MoH had co-op, though.
EDIT; There's a co-op mod for Deus Ex, I think. Probably for a fair few other games, too.

I know Half-Life/Counter-Strike derivatives sometimes have good co-op modes.

SS2

3 words:
Command & Conquer: Renegade
It's bloody awesome in multiplay with about 20 people(40 is even more fun, but games tend not to last long), so I don't see why it wouldn't be great in a LAN with about the same number:D
-
I second/third the Serious Sam First / Second Encounter recommendations - my brother and I play that co-op from time to time. Renegade's also fun in multi, but I don't know that it has co-op.

For that type of gameplay we use RtCW: Enemy Territory, but I'm not asking for good games with good multiplayer modes (have plenty of those), we're searching for something which let's you play the "campaign" in cooperative mode.
Thanks for all the suggestions so far.

There are a few FS2 co-op campaigns floating around out there...

*smacks everyone for forgeting*
HALO except thats not a lan... Rainbow Six 3 is though...

Yes, Halo goes up in the list, but they have made a Beta version for a Doom III co-op MOD, and I would friggin love that.
Also, try Doom 2 on Nightmare with a buddy, and Marathon on the hardest difficulty mode together. A friend of mine did that with me, and Nightmare on Doom 2 is a real *****, but we got far before I had to leave. Cheers! (PS, we were using the enhanced Doom 2, with really neat graphical updates and new client for LAN play)
Serious Sam II is hella-fun on Serious mode with Extra enemies. Try that.
Lets see... I cant think of anything else.

Full Spectrum Warrior has a co-op mode too it, although I'm not sure the PC version is out yet.

Deleted due to double posting.

Everyone will scream at me, but...
Master of Orion III?
Heavens knows that multiplayer is more bugged than singleplayer, but my brother and I had a blast playing on LAN.
Not exactly co-op (unless you want to...), but it's always great madly shuffling your fleets to rescue your human ally from imminent embaressment.
On the up side, you could probably get the game ultra-cheaply.
Civ III can also get pretty crazy, in a good way.
WarCraft III is always a good choice to, again not always co-op, but great multiplayer all the same, especially on Battle.net. You can get the Battle Chest for less than $50 for sure.

Empire Earth is pretty fun, though the games tend to last for hours. Soldat is also pretty nice.
And Phobia 2.
-
Aaaand we have a winner !
After reading some reviews, Serious Sam: The Second Encounter seems to be hellu'va a$$kicking fragfest...especially in coop. We'll have a try at that.
Thanks for all the other suggestions too guys.

COME on the greatest co-op of our time is:
diablo 2 + exp
though its not a fps,but still great that will keep u playing for more than 200 hours.
-
I was gonna suggest Rainbow Six but there are som amny bloody patches for it. Oh wait, that's on-line isn't it ?
-
The origional Doom games, Duke Nukem 3d, and Half Life. But for Half Life you need to download the sven coop mod.
-
mariokart double dash. i was driving and my buddy was punch driving in the back. fun as hell.
-
Halo.

Sadly, Halo PC doesn't have co-op. I was very upset about that. :o
-
Consoles have lot more co-op games than PC has

It does if you know how to edit it... These aren't co-op, but they do show that you can do a LOT with halo... ;7 I'm sure if Reppy stopped by again, he'd have better pics, but there were taken spur of the moment:
