i was wondering if there were any terran Dreadnaught/battleship's out there? cos i would like one, for a wee campaign i am doing. i would like one totally armed to the teeth with anti-cap weapons but basically no anti-figther turrets. I'm not asking anyone to make one but are there any ships out there that fit's the discription?

I'm sure there'll be plenty. Making huge ships with enourmous anti-cap beams is what modding is all about.

There are lots of models that could be converted to that purpose. Try the Raynor, Or Aldos Njord if something smaller will fit the bill.

Njord is tiny, though. I haven't actually made any bona fide super-ships in a long time.

downlaod the PAladin.. But be warned - it has too many multi-part turret for current SCP liking, and will chrash FS2 if ALL of them start moving around.
This is not likely to happen unless you sorround him with enemy capships.
This can be avoided by simply removing the rotation property for a turret or two allso.....

Cheers, trashman that link dosent work. i don't think the raynor would do, the desgin i'm looking for is something like a battleship from WW2 bismarck or hood , i like the massive turrets and they are Very intimadating(sp). cos wot i am doing is taking away the beam cannon as the primary anti-cap weapon, in fact an sorta doing it World war2 style, big shells and torpedos.

TrashMan, you should donate 'em to Hades Combine. On the subject of your Orion, I've included it in my WIP campaign and did some pathing to it, as well as giving it subsystems and submodel rotation data. If you don't have these in your version and would like to see what I've done with her, I'd be happy to upload my altered copy to you, once I've restored the textures to the default ones.

Any models I've put for downlaod are free for anyone to use anyway he wants (including in his campaigns)
I really don't recall if OrionMK3b had paths (I think it did.. I had 2 versions - normal and the b version which was better..)
Oh..and I have TONs of models in the works.

You know how I LOVE space battleships (drool).. How about taking a FEW of those turrets off (like the smaller ones) so it is less likely to crash if it gets jumped by an armada, or accidently warps into a hostile staging area? Just a suggestion for a VARIENT... (call it the cavalier? Almost as good as a Paladin, just no extra Divine UMMPHF on eeh smackdown scale) ;)
Anyway would this distract you enough TEMPORARILY from Robotech as this goal absolutely kills me after that project dissapearred two years ago... Try to remodel THIS COB as your NEW masterpiece!!!

You gotta be kidding me....
I'm not dong that, especially not now...
Why a new version? Just remove the rotation from a turret or two...
Besides, I think the 3.6 can handle it... If not, then the programmers are really slappy if they didn't just change ONE line of code....

Heheheh sorry I was HALF kidding (mumbles to self... "off to outta space...")
I will try taking the rotation out from some of the side turrets evenly until it stops crshing... I only faced off with 3 domion bugs and I guess it was gonna open up on them with all the turrets? ALPHA STRIKE!!!

Oh and BTW: Starbug, do you know about the OLD Terran Juggernaught that was abandoned?? It had no turrets (I think) but I used it as an unamed passenger liner that the Crossover fleet had to protect when the Borg came).. A Million civillians died (oops!)... It looked really cool and had a huge rotating set of like 12 turret arms at the front... Plus it was BIG!!! like between 2-4km long

i didn't know about that.
Trashman the paladin keeps causing FSO3.6 to crash, and when it loads up in FRED i get the old Shards of death.

Argh... why does this keep happening again!
All the turrets get screwed up completely!
I'll have to do all the turrets from scratch and POF it again, so this might take a while!!!

Hey Starbug,
I found that pof it's called tdfxapocalypse and is 19km long... It has 12 rotating bits at the bow, each a few hundred meters wide and about 6km long... a re-skin would suit any purpose you want for a big ship... It was turrets.. I don't know why they don't work (I got it when I was still clueless.. Wait I still am :D) anyway if you can't find it let me know and I'll send it to a email you post l8tr...

The Apoc belongs to Machina Terra AFAIK... might want to ask Styxx before using it.

oh that ship! afriad its to big, really wot i want is something jsut a wee bit bigger than a destroyer, would like a beefed up Hecate, i know theres another one out, but i like the design of the original.
