*does happy dance*

I was actually hoping that the thing they showed at Comic-Con was an animated version. I guess it just the live-action one thats been in the works. But nevertheless, it will rock like...like...well, nothing rocks the same way HHGTTG does.

edit: It took me a while to figure out what the logo was. At first I thought it was a bird's head, after the bird-guide thing, but then it became rather obvious.

Good man.

Listen to the radio version (And the new series when it comes out next month)
Then read the books
Then watch the TV series if you're desperate.

Why does the logo look familiar?

I wonder why they decided that Ford Prefect ought to be black, after he was white in the TV Series.

Yeah, I do disagree with their decision about Ford. Nothing rascist mind you, but I would imagine that 95% of the people who read/listened to/watched HHGTTG imagined Ford as white, so this was just a strange and inexplicable move.

*snaps fingers*

I know why that looks familiar, it looks very similar to the symbol on the front of the Red Faction 2 box.

That picture of Ford Prefect is from some old production, I think. I don't believe they have pictures of the new cast.

Anyway, as long as he can act insane and flash that demented grin, it would be all right.

Yay :D

I can't believe there's people who have not read the most excellent books.

They just don't know what they're missing, me-thinks.

[color=66ff00]You guys are only getting around to seeing this now? It's been about for weeks.

The cast is already decided at this point as far as the media are concerned. The guy acting Ford is called Mos Def.

Thank God that Arthur Dent is being played by an Englishman, unfortunately for good or for bad they chose an american to play Trillian so no English accent there (although she is a good actor).

Arthur Dent: Martin Freeman (www.martinfreeman.com/)
Ford Prefect: Mos Def (www.mosdefinitely.com/)
Trillian: Zooey Deschanel (www.fedge.net/~zdeschanel/)
Zaphod Beeblebrox: Sam Rockwell (entertainment.msn.com/celebs/celeb.aspx?c=165773)

Other high profile actors like John Malkovich, Bill Nighy and Warwick Davies also star.

I'm looking forward to it. BTW you guys know that they're remaking the radio show and IIRC they are using Douglas Adams' voice as he made recordings before he died. :)

The thing is, Simon Jones IS Arthur Dent. I don't think I'll be able to cope with anyone else.

I'm also very pleased with their choice of Zaphod. Sam Rockwell has proven he can act ( Confessions of a Dengerous Mind and Matchstick Men), and now that I think about it, he does really have that Zaphod type face. At first, I was wondering who they would cast, cause I couldn't really imagine anyone who fit with what my conceptions of Zaphod were, but they proved me wrong.
