Title: Vasudan Dreadnought Desperately Needed!
Post by: Kie99 on August 17, 2004, 12:52:14 pm
Does anyone know where I can get a massive Vasudan ship to challenge the Galactic Terran Shivan Alliance which has only a couple of Sathani* and no Colossi**, all will be explained in my new campaign. Thanks in Advance!

*Plural of Sathanas, sounds much better than Sathanases

**Plural of Colossus, sounds much better than Colossusses

there's one on the hades combine. By Aldo I think.

*edit: it's a carrier, made by Aldo, Woomeister and Roy Fokker*

Try searching for the, uh, Kabachet I think it was.   Think that was quite big.

I intend to model the Vasudan Super Carrier from volition's FS2 site, under concept art. I'm just waiting to buy more ram and a new processor before I start on it.

Too lazy to look it up right now..

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the Sechat-hor, Sechat-Thor (SP?) a juggernaught for Vasudans??? It kicked the borgs but last year in the mega universe team up to defend sector 000 if you remember my screens back then.

But when the prototype Gigas warped in it trashed everyone in under 2 mins!

Hmm now we got SDF-1 instead of a reskinned Orion ....REMATCH! ;7

Oh no.

Edit to bring content:
The superjug syndrome is bad, period.
-  It has "Battle Of Endor" syndrome written all over it.
-  It reduces the player's chances to actually AFFECT THE MISSION.
-  It causes difficulties to most players' computers (****, throw 3 Sathanus and a couple of other capships in a mission and behold the struggles. Of course, this is just for those who don't have Radeon 90100000 and are thus unworthy to play SCP).
-  Quantity is not quality.
-  It's been chewed to death.
-  It gets boring after a while.
-  Player does not get to fly big ships. Nor does he get to shoot their weapons. He cannot fry Shivans with BMFMagenta

Plus:
-  "X - Shivan Alliance" is always pretty ridiculous, as it nags away the threat Shivans present to us. It just makes them ordinary species. It makes them boring.
- 99% of Superjug Campaigns never see daylight.
- 99% of any campaigns never see daylight.
- There's always serious need for a FREDder, join some bigger team if you can and get experience. Well, who am I to talk, but it just seems better that people would try to earn their merits with other people, instead of failing their debut, getting depressed and finally slitting their own veins.

Of course, Blaise Russel came out of the dark. But he hadn't superjugs.

I'll give it a month... No offence kietotheworld, but campaigns will usually die from lack of interest... ESPECIALLY campaigns of this nature... People don't usually want to go near a campaign that allies with shivans, because it generally makes the creator look like a troll... Again, no offence is aimed at you...

I've never understood why the Shivans would ally with the Terrans - there's simply no benefit to them.

MindGames however does explain why some Terrans (i.e the NTF) might think the shivans wanted to though. :D

I tend to agree with the above points but it's possible that kier has thought of a new spin. Unlikely perhaps but possible.

The old Het-Ka comes to mind... Super Destroyer size, if armed the right way it can thrash even Jugs if you leave the ridicolous speed of the original tables (45)

Actually, the plural of Sathanas is Sathanes.  Sathanas is a variant of the Greek Satanas (I think V altered it for a perceived increase in the "coolness" factor).  Greek nouns ending in -as pluralise as -es.  You are correct regarding Colossi.

IMVOT (In My Very Own Theory) Bosch didn't go to the shivans in all his glory shouting "let's ally, folks!", instead it probably is/was more like "oh great destroyers please don't kill us - we'll try to do for you whatever we can without expecting anything in return".

:D

Seriously, what Bosch is after is not an "alliance" with the shivans, but rather some sort of arrangement to ensure the human race survives - which it clearly wouldn't if fighting the shivans to the bitter end.

I thought Sathanas was just another way of saying Satan/Lucifer/The Devil

Nick and Azonic were the ones that inspired me to never give up the dream ("here's to you Gene" - pours a 40 of Synthohol on the ground)... DID he drink? ;)

Thanks but I want something that can actually defeat a few Sathanes(?), not just hold its own
