Well, I'm reinstalling Fs2, and remembered one of my friends has my disk...

It's very... Christian. I don't have any thing against Christians, I am one. It's just seems incongruous with the background and stuff, but I like it anyway. :)
-
A little too Christian for me, but good otherwise :)
-
Well, yeah it's supposed to be...
I was aiming for: (NOTE: I don't want to get flamed here, so... please don't disrespect my beliefs)
It's like the middle of a transition from your last thoughts to a new life among something greater, err... something along those lines...
Bah, I should of known people wouldn't like it...
-
I like it. It seems kinda sad to me, and I dont know why. :yes2: :)
-
Because, there's a subliminal message in there... :nervous:
I mean.... errr... uhhh...
*hides*
-
it's supposed to look like you're dying and moving on or something, correct?
-
Correct you are...
-
Being such a huge anime OTAKU my first impression was an Evangelion type thingy...
-
Im a Christian as well. :D
That looks so good.
-
Well thanks :)
-
Methink it'd be better if you made it a hole instead, more dramatic, imho, and less religion specific :)
-
Oh yeah?

Ahhh... crap, well that's all you can get it at it seems
I forgot to save a copy before I resized it, and now I'm screwed :mad2:
-
Of course it looks sad, it's a cross.
ph34r t3h j35u5!!1

Reminds me of End of Evangelion :) very nice
-
i reckon the one with the cross looks better. only it looks more like a background for something, than a complete picture... i don't know what you could do about it but.
and Christianity rocks. don't knock it.
-
good art in the first one -- BAD theme
*wanders away muttering about unconscionable irrationality*
-
LOL
Well, I think it's great, art should be from a personal level, and it's very well done. It doesn't really matter what other people believe, you are the artist, you are the one meeting your mortal thoughts in the image, you couldn't be anyone else.
Good stuff :D
-
Strange and irrelevant thought - 'getting mortal' is a euphemism for getting completely and utterly pissed in Scotland.
-
lol

I don't want to start a religion debate... but that's hilarious, in my mind anyway. I literally read that sentence and fell off my chair laughing.
Context I suppose.

christianity rocks no more than any other religion
and that's not at all

I wouldn't say that. There've been some pretty cool religions over the last few thousand years.
"Hi. I'm Zeus. If you mess with me, I'm going to blow the **** out of you with a lightning bolt. Now stay here while I go have sex with whoever I want."
Alternately...
"Hi. I'm Thor. I might not be particularly clever, but I can kick the **** out of you. If you die in battle, you come to heaven with me, even if you were an arsehole. Thus, everybody wins, since those who regularly engage in battle rarely get to die of old age."
Or, if you're talking about modern religions...
"Hey there. I'm Shiva. I destroy ****."
Philisophically, Hinduism kicks arse IMO. And because there's no central book or anything, it rarely intrudes into government.

i despise all religion equally -- they're all fountains of concentraited irrationality

Perhaps. But if you're going to submit to one God above all others, might it as well be a womanizing powermonger who could kick your arse?
-
lol :P
-
I'm spiritual but not religious. Religion is not a terrible thing if kept on a personal level, but the minute two people get together who believe even slightly different things, as Kazan says, irrationality leaps into the fray.
-
being spiritual is being religious -- it doesn't require two people either -- one person can be irrational on their own --- a single irrational person is not dangerous though, droves of them are (and we have BILLIONS of them)
-
For me, religion means believing in a power greater than your own free will, which I don't ;)
Anyway...nice picture again :nervous:
-
religion, spirituality, supernaturalism - all permutations of the same fundamental irrationality of emotionalism of logic
-
Well, I'm sure when I hit Ponn-Far, I'll feel differently :p

Wow, what happened to my thread :doubt:
Oh well, like anyone cares, continue I guess...
BTW, thanks Flipside ;)
