Firefox.
Ignore the nutscapers, they've not used a true Gecko based browser since the days of NS6 by the looks of it :p
-
Firefox.
Couldn't stand having to go back to a non-tabbed browser now.
-
Notepad.
errr... :nervous:
;)
-
Firefox.
www.mozilla.org
Its come a long way from its Netscape origins. Its bloody impressive and I no longer use IE because of it. Plus its a very small download and very streamlined overall.
-
FireFox......there isn't anything better on the free (and sadly PAID as well) market.
I've tested them all.
FireFox.
-
firefox it is then
-
Do you have RealPlayer? You can browse the net with that. :D :D
-
firefox is kinda cool. now any clue on how to completely gut internet explorer from windows :D

OH MY GOOOOD!!!!!
-
LYNX :D
-
How many web pages can that one open? Five? Six?
:D
Although it's probably superior to IE6. Hell everything is.
-
I must be the last person on earth who uses IE and has no problem with it.
-
I prefer Firefox, too
I use IE only for IE-based Chats.
-
AOL 9.0 Optimized.
-
I have no problem with IE, but I don't have anything to compare it to besides Netscape, which sucks.

i liked ie but its too closely connected to windows. allowing bad things on the net direct access to your system directory.
-
Realplayer is loaded with spyware. There is a setting in IE that asks you about which cookies to let into the system. It can get annoying at times, but it keeps my spyware counts WAY down.

Firefox is sweet

Opera, than FireFox 0.9+. Operas' better though because its support for CSS is :D. Any one tried Amaya? I was disappointed on that one :(.

I used to but then it started going bonkers on me.
-
EDIT: gah... last time i watch Who's online...
-
Firefox refuses to work on my rig, I open it up and the process runs in the background but nothing shows up on the desktop.
-
In Linux, my preferred browsers are Opera 7 then Konqueror (Unless I'm SSH'ing, in which case there is only Lynx :))
In Windows... mmm. Opera 6, then Firefox, then IE :)
I love Opera :D
Fast, lightweight, good rendering and can switch compatibility modes, can save my 200-window session and let me return to it later... oh, and I'm addicted to mouse gesturing! Ahhh...
Downsides are that it is getting a bit bloaty - they keep adding crap to it that, frankly, I'm never gonna use (It has integrated e-mail, ICQ, news... I wouldn't be surprised if there was a Kitchen Sink menu item soon! :(), and it costs money.
Firefox on it's own sucks arse; I don't know why everyone says it's lightweight and streamline because it uses almost as many resources as IE!! It's not faster than IE, but it is more responsive.
Firefox really starts to rule when you start hooking in XPI extensions 'tho - I just love how you can customise it up the wazoo :D
Whenever I see any knowledgeable techie using vanilla Firefox on it's own I have to resist hitting them over the head with a chair...
-
Heh Cyker, I guess you'll have to hit me over the head now. I like Firefox without the bells and whistles at the moment, but only because im obsessed with keeping my toolbar buttons uncluttered. If only Firefox let me set Small Icons or Icons with Text or whatever FOR SPECIFIC TOOLBAR BUTTONS...I want for example my Back button big and all the extra XPI extension buttons to be small with text under/next to them, or vice versa, whatever. No browser I've seen yet lets you do that and besides I love my Firefox so I'm lookin for a plugin for it only at the moment :D
If ANYONE finds a plugin for Firefox that lets me do what I've described (change size/properties of ONE SPECIFIC toolbar button in Firefox), you're my hero!!! =D
The only real extensions I have installed right now are the default one called DOM Inspector and Nuke Anything...i love Nuke Anything...lets me manually destroy ads on sites so I can really see the cool stuff...but what I'd like to see is an AUTOMATED version that kills any banners from certain advertisers (in other words I kill a banner and then it asks, "always kill banners of this location or, that link to site blah blah blah"...then I won't ever see ads on sites ever again...
:drevil:
P.S. DONT EVER install MyIE2 and Mozilla Firefox on the same system. MyIE2 is actually WORSE than Internet Explorer in ruthlessness with internet shortcuts...it just WONT give them up to Firefox even if I TELL MyIE2 not to be the default browser. I had to uninstall MyIE2 and then install Firefox AGAIN to make MyIE2 release its iron fist on my internet links. LOL
