Title: A stupid R1 question
Post by: Liberator on August 28, 2004, 06:56:11 pm
Is there a fix available that corrects the Danaus' docking bug?  I call in a support ship and it flies away from me at full speed.

I should be able to correct the docking path on that ship, when I get some free time.  Monday perhaps.  I'm not with the Inferno team, but I did make my own unofficial partial patch for R1 under SCP.  I made some corrections to dockpoints and paths on some fighters, so fixing the Danaus should be pretty sinch... if the Inferno team doesn't mind.

Well, I hit a wall anyway.  I'm on the mission where you have to escort the freighters and it either CTDs or I have to manually reset.  Up to that point asside from a mission or 2 that I've had to redo because something broke (the first diablo mission) it's has worked like a dream.

Its the HTL-texture-number-per-ship limit problem.  One of the freighter models exceeds this limit, thus breaking the mission.  The Patch (which is still being edited), includes a version of this model with unified textures, reducing the number considerably, and making it playable under HTL, with any (working) FSO build... so FSO Inferno Builds will not be required... at least until R1.1+R2 comes out.

Standard Inferno builds aren't fully compatable with R2 now, you'll need one of my custom builds.

I'll check the R2 Danaus, I can't remeber if I fixed the path problem or not.
