Which build are you running? 3.6 or something from the latest builds forum?
Have you donwloaded any of the media.vps or the avi animations?

im using and tried two (2) versions of SCP

those are the filenames and besides that i have downloaded the VP Pack labeled MV_Zpack_ A .vp
does that help any?

System specs?
The latest build of all is Taylor's 20040822 build here (http://icculus.org/~taylor/fso/willrobinson/20040822-win32.zip), though you'll have to consolidate all your pilot files from other mod directories, into the main one. There are other features to this build, but I suggest you explore the SCP Latest Builds sub-forum to hear them all. Should you chose to just play without investigating that forum, don't be alarmed by the new "cache" directory in your main data directory and the same in any mod directories... its a GOOD thing.

my system specs are as follows:
500 MHZ pentium 3
256 megs of ram
ATI Xpert 2000 magnum video card
does this help any?
-
How old is your video card? SCP does not seem to like old video cards (like TNT2's & voodoo's). It might have something to do with it.

If you're trying to run FSO, if its referencing fs2.exe then it sounds like the launcher isn't selected to run right build. When you activate the Launcher (FSO Launcher), there should be a slot at the top with a "browse" button next to it. This slot should have the command line of the build you want to run. By default, its usually set to fs2.exe, which is the original exe. You want to redirect it to the FSO build of your choice.
I hope that is the only cause of your problems.

Hey Saturn, welcome back. Go find the Derek Smart thread in Hard Light from a few weeks back. :)

Thanks alot Setekh
I appreciate it
BTW i have two things to ask,
One: where did you get that avatar?
it looks just plain cool...
second,
can i have your icq number so we could chat more often?
you can just pm it to me if you want
-
Well Setekh made his own avatar, it's been really long time so i could forget something
-
well that pretty cool i think
-
Oh yeah, this old thing? I made it myself a while back, and never seemed able to think up a better one, so it stayed. ;) As for my ICQ, it's in my profile too, but here: 60979863. I'm not on all that often but if you pop me a message I ought to reply. :)
