IS wierd...
Some guy named John tried to send me "pics"
:shaking:
Freak...
anyway, what's the difference between IRC and ICQ?
-
umm. one is a chat room type proggy and the other's an instant messanger. But ICQ can delay send mesages, which is cool.
-
And you were talking to john too long. We all know him. But we put him on the block list.
-
IRC is a chat, ICQ as you know, i messaging... Completely differen types of programs...
-
Ph34r teh John ;)
Yeah, ICQ is like AOL, only not quite as bad :)

Not really, like two seconds...
You all know him?
-
you know the last few days I've been getting a lot of... oddd ICQ mesagaes, not anything bad or realy unpleasent, but I had a 20 year old Chinees girl and some guy from brazil within about a week of each other, and untill now I'd only ever gotten spam bots an scammers.
-
I suppose you could say we've all met him, in one format or another :)
-
Ahh...
Well now some Mo3y or something chick sent me pics ;7
But I didn't do something, (she asked me to "add" her...)
and she left :p
-
we have?
-
Does anybody know a IRC chat software that's any good, Lighty recommended one and it didn't work...
-
mIRC is good, if you don't mind waiting 5-10 seconds when the trial ends...
-
I use trillian for IRC. but I rarely use IRC
-
Raa... that's the one Light suggested and didn't work
LOL
Nonna...
What's to know:
You can advise as to fix this site? http://absoluagency.com/asp/per.asp?kod=A5001565
and that's all she says
It's true what they say about the internet... :p
This is kinda fun though...
Watching people make complete idiots of themselves

ROFL Watch your opinion of the human race plummet in the coming days ;)
-
Actually they did a long time ago... :p
*patiently waits for someone to come...*
-
Trillian owns you.
Generally, ICQ and IRC are my favourite chat locations.
You will find me on server: irc.maxgaming.net port: 6667 channel: #ssx if you're looking for people for a multiplayer game or anything ;)
-
Yeah there is some really wierd peoples using ICQ that does that like that or sells something *looks ingore list*
-
Never really understood why so many people use mirc, it's not all that advanced and it's shareware.
I like these two clients:
Xchat (http://www.silverex.org/news/)
Visual IRC (http://www.visualirc.net/)
Gaim (http://gaim.sourceforge.net) is useful if you're using multiple IM/chat protocols (I keep an xchat and gaim window open myself, I dislike gaim/trillian style IRC).
EDIT: A note about XChat. The developer packaging the Windows version of XChat has illegally changed the Win-XChat license from GPL to shareware. As a result, the xchat link is to a distributor of unofficial XChat binaries which are free.

In my opinion, ICQ is the first introduction of Whoreware(tm) that I've seen.
Basically, they sold out, and now they're a junk machine full of advertising ****.
Trillian is good if you're needing an ICQ emulato (and everything else, but I hate Trillian, so I'm old-skool using all five programs separately)r.
I myself use AIM and MSN. AIM is the best out of four (ICQ, AIM, YIM, MSN) because even though AOL is infamous for it's **** service, it's kind of surprising that their messanger handles sent/recieved files from your contacts the best (meaning it gives best download/upload speeds).
-
Quite simply, so many people use mIRC because it's there and it works.

That doesn't require you to register. ;)
Miranda IM (http://www.miranda-im.org/)....better than Trillian in soooo many ways its not funny. Best of all, it doesn't nag you to get a pro version. ;) (not to mention that Miranda IM actually supports more than 4 IM protocols and has ALOT more functionality)

Trillian for ICQ*
yeah Trillian's great. for when you get sick of AIM's advertisements and such, and want to use MSN, AIM, and ICQ all in one.
Trillian Pro is great

Don't correct people when they're not wrong.

Gaim > Trillian
