I'm not asking Fractux to rewrite the launcher or anything, but it'd be nice to include FRED builds with the "FS Open exe." rather than having to go to "any exe"
A small annoyance given the hadwork he'll have put into it I admit.
-
What does the launcher have to do with FRED?
-
when you run the launcher you choose which exe ("browse")
-
FRED doesn't need a launcher right now. The launcher is good for lots of command line options. FRED has only 3 AFAIK (-fredhtl, -frednowarn, -mod XXX), and those are ones that you'll almost always use. Just use shortcuts.
-
Fractux wrote the FS_Open installer not the Launcher. The launcher is mostly Random Tigers work AFAIK.
While we're on the subject I wouldn't mind seeing the Launcher including multi-mod support. At the moment you have to select no mod and put them in by hand. Not a huge problem but it would be nicer to see the launcher support it. :)
At the moment most people probably haven't even noticed that FS2_open supports more than one moddir :)

there's lots of stuff people don't notice about FSO, hell we had a guy come in and ask about fighter beams not to long ago, wich as you might remember was like the first thing to be done with the source.
-
you mean beams can be on fighters? :D
-
You would think the Inferno trailers released recently would give that away :)

Jeez, what an asshole. :nervous:
And that was my error with the tables, not a dig at the SCP.
