Title: Using the FontTool
Post by: Darkhill on September 12, 2004, 12:49:09 pm
Has anybody had any luck using the FontTool that comes with the original source?  Thought about changing up the text a little bit in the game but my couple of trys with FontTool haven't been good.

Its one of the little apps (like the vp builder) that comes with the FS2 project.  Its supposed to take a pcx and cut it up as a font file.  The problem is there is no documentation for it.  There is a problem with my pcx but I don't know what is wrong with it.  As far as I know there is no way to extract the graphics out of the FS2 fonts.  Had a copy of one of those then it should be easy to make a new one.  I recompiled it today, if you want to take a shot and play around with it then you can get it here: http://www.geocities.com/cobolt_dink/Fonttool.zip
