sorry for the Real Video format, its the only one I could find.
-
heard about this
-
they edited out the impact on TV (obviously). Can't believe they actually fired on the crowd.
Oh and thet were Kiowas, not Apaches.
-
"Air support destroyed the Bradley fighting vehicle to prevent looting and harm to the Iraqi people," the US military said in a statement.
What a stupid ****ing statement, may I add. I mean, civillian lives or someone nicking the furry dice? What a quandry........
-
well do you leave your equipment laying in ennemy hands?
that said, they shouldn't have fired missles into the crowd
-
Sickening. Just sickening.
We are willing to end innocent lives to prevent the theft of a few rifles?
-
Ridiculous, if it was a stealth bomber that was being looted, fair enough, but commanders should have re-assessed this situation - as if there was anything in an old burning Bradley that would be of great use to terrorists.
EDIT: Actually I may have been wrong, if it had its surface to surface missiles still undamaged those might have been put to bad use

as compared to scattering a few civvie entrails? If someone had driven away in the thing, then sure. But it was on fire and going nowhere.
'sides which, how does loosing off a couple of missiles into a crowd 'prevent harm to the Iraqi people'?
-
:wtf: Theres no excuse for that crock of ****. Firing missile into the crowd? *shakes head* Someone better pay for this.
-
see what I'm wondering is, how the hell the cameraman (or the camera) got out of that in once piece?
The way it looked to me, the missle impacted right behind the reporter. The camerman and reporter were only a few meters apart, and yet one was killed while the other escaped relatively unscathed. Plus the camera was still recording. I guess they must have some sort of special warzone type camera armour...

Not a whole pile of good without a working launcher, most likely the US was afraid of electronic stuff being looted, that sort of stuff would fetch a few bob from the Chinese.

Didn't the US just invade Iraq to keep this type of wholesale slaughter of civilians from happening?

Nope. They invaded cause GWB wanted revenge. The wholesale slaughter of civilians thing was just how they sold it to the public.
-
revenge. and oil.
-
No, they did it because Cheney "Palpatine" Cheney and Bush "Darth Vader" Bush with Donald "Stormtrooper" Donald wanted to help Sharon "Jabba" Sharon in his quest for hegemony over Middle Earthst. Or maybe the US administration really believed that invasion of Iraq would be a good idea [for whatever reasons] and pushed it forward. If only reason had been "revenge and oil", it is now pretty quickly backfiring - revenge is dealt with, but if Iraq really is in such a ****ty state as it seems to be, oil production will dive in no time. And so on. My point being is that taking a position that anything is evil is pretty goddamn retarded, especially when it comes to politicians.
Why the **** did they even use a Kiowa to mob controlm anyways? It's a chopper, it's only purpose is to 1) get people in and out of ****ty situations and 2) reduce a city block into rubble. And this ...incident was in the Green Line, "safest" area of Baghdad - if infantry can't walk there, then, well, GG DUDES.
