Whenever you think someting is impossible or just simply too wierd to make, leave it to the Japanese to prove you wrong.

Makes me proud to be of asian descent
...
...talking to flowers...
Let me rethink that...:nervous:
-
Talking to flowers and them talking back.........
-
well, its technically just a flower-speaker, but its does seem needlessly strange.
edit: you could have huge fun with this. Make people think the flowers are talking to them, and then pretend you don't hear anything...
-
s'pose it'll make for thousands of happy gardeners, though.
-
Flower: Smoke me!!!!!
Someone: hell yeah
Flower: mwhaha humanity shall bow before me
yeah well it's kinda strange actually someone starts talk to flower

Anyone remember those irritating things from the early-nineties?
Those plastic potplants with shades on, who'd play music if you clapped at em?
-
Someone just made Prince Charles day..........
-
I'd be willing to try that. I wonder how loud they can produce sound.
It'd be the ultimate surround sound system. :p

I don't know if I like the idea of giving my plants information. Anyone seen Day of the Triffids?
-
I saw something like this on a TV program about a year ago, where some university student used a device to monitor the soils temperature/humidity etc, and it would use a synthesized voice to let people know it needed watering etc. It was actually quite a useful tool, though personally, I'd prefer an LCD display or the like ;)

We know they respond better to classical music than almost anything else. Now we're just giving them headphones :D

Stranger than fiction.....

President of Let's Corp Masumi Gotoh says that the system is also beneficial to the plants, keeping bugs off and helping them last longer.
I wonder what happens when you plug in a Venus flytrap? ;7

"The plant is happy listening to music," he said.
How do we know[/i] that?
Maybe it's just shrieking for help because you're torturing it with sounds?
