Title: jump drive enginges fail when trying to jump

I just got the SCP for freespace 2 and when i try to jump out it always say ENGINE FAILED Jump drive canceled. Or something like that what can i do so it stops saying that?

You are using 3.6 and apperently have some issues with reading. Go to the 3.6 release thread, and grab the updated build.

Or hit the "recent SCP builds" subforum, and pickup what ever catches your eye.

we should make a filter that looks for the words "engine" "fail*" and "jump out" or "end mission" that brings up a mesage asking if they checked the big bold text refering to the bug in 3.6

Or just make a seperate help forum where the more, err, redundancy resistant can help.

A big 'very well known bugs and solutions' thread would be far more useful.

I haven't commented a lot of bugs.  Be patient.  I'm working on many things at the moment.

TopAce: Does it matter? If it's there, someone spotted it. If I come by with the normal enquiry of computer specs, you know I was bored. If someone else posts in it saying that they have the problem too, you know someone else was bored. Really, posts don't matter, only solutions do.
