Title: Sky Backgrounds

 Hey is it possible to replace a nebula with a sky image or an atmospheric backgroud?  Has it been done? if not is it possible to replace anything, Is there anyway to make it look like ur flying in a sky and not stars???

There's quite a few people around here who've attempted that - Max did it for the Robotech Mod, Joey has done it for his new campaign System Madness II, and White did an absolute killer rendition of it for The Babylon Project. Just d/l the Robotech demo and you will find it, and some cool Vertects  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif) but I still use just that sky background just so I dont have to d/l the Robotech demo agin  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)
