But I'm workin on a mission that has no events, one wing of hostile fighters, no mission goals, and no objectives. And yet, somehow, it feels close to ready. I have no idea why this is, but I think I now understand how ST was released.

New fighters mods perhaps? :D
That certainly could explain it :)
-
all you need now is a super-destroyer and an infinite number of Lokis.

Nothing new...well, not new for me anyway. I think it might be the fact that the BG, briefing and much of the Debrief were done first, as opposed to last, and since it's a heavy assault mission there're fewer events needed anyway.
Meh - I suppose it means I don;t have as much work ahead of in any case :)

Goals are directives require a short amount of work, but adding events is a bit longer job. If it has brieifngs and debriefings you have right to think you are almost ready. You will have no problem with balancing. :)

I am the only person on this board who likes Silent Threat, aren't I?
-
Probably not. I am not saying this because I liked Silent Threat.
-
I liked the new models from SL, but not the missions...except the last mission, and the mission where you attack four lilith cruisers. Heavy assualt at its best.
-
Wait, you liked the last mission? Is that physically possible? :p
I enjoyed Hellfire (the Lilith-killing mission) as well as the mission where you have to escort Chronos freighters that are picking up weapons prototypes in the middle of an ionized gas field. That mission had some unique gameplay elements to it. The mission that gave me the most frustration was the one where you have to defend the Krios's escape pods; due to a configuration glitch in the mission, I'd usually start off with the wrong fighter and have to attempt to catch up to Lokis in a Herc :p.
-
The Lilith killing mission? You mean the one with one event, which sends the message "INCOMING!" and that's it for the whole thing?
Silent Threat, on the whole, I thought sucked pretty good. Some of the non-campaign missions were alright, though generally not to my tastes (too much Vasudan-killing)

I'm a fan of Silent Threat: Reborn. :)
-
but we haven't seen it yet:sigh:

RELEASE STR, FOOLISH MORTAL! :mad2:
Er, I mean, I'm not a demon, what was I saying? Nothing. Right? You can't prove anything. :nervous:
(this was a joke, in case its unclear :P)
-
Will it ever be released?
-
Yes.
-
Within our lifetime?
-
Yes.
-
Well, that's good news.
