Just wondering, are you guys going to use a rotating multi-layer skybox to help better simulate the effect?

A thin nebula in combination with a skybox would look the best.

I know what I suggest is pretty hard to do, but an animated skybox would be awesome...

Nobody is working on improving the look of hyperspace at present so if any of you guys want to have a crack at it, go ahead.

I would have thought a black 'n' red nebula would more than do the trick.

Nope, too thick for the effect needed. Hyperspace looks infinite but you cant see infinitely.
