Out of curiosity, I know there's a limit on the number of Sexps (because I've hit it), and I know there's a limit on the number of ships (because I've hit it), my question is, is there a limit to the number of messages????

(ive hit both myself, but not for messages as of yet.....maybe there isnt one...we'll never know :P)

Yes.  I hit it on the first mission of Deus Ex Machina, so I had to move some messages to the next mission. :p

EDIT: Checked the FSO code.  It's 300 in retail FS2, 500 since 6/15/2004.
