I gotta wonder if anyone's ever made a Vasudan Mjolnir equivalent. (I did a search and found nothing.)
Actually, it probably wouldn't happen that way in canon, since Zods generally don't like using unmanned sentries to begin with.
How's about this then. A light, fast, easily redeployable ship, slightly bigger than Mjolnir size, and with a BVas battery (or perhaps MVas) on the front. A Q-ship. (A couple turrets to defend it, too -- maybe 5 turets total, including the beam, so it's not defenseless, but not very well-armed either.)
It'd be able to provide the same role as the Mjolnir if needed, whilst adding the "honorable combat" element the Vasudans seem to prefer, and also being more tactically flexible, providing a little extra anticap firepower to a Battlegroup.
Hmm... (if only I had some sort of modeling skill.)
-
SA has one, i don't think you'd be able to use it until we're done. you may want to talk to sesq about that.
-
If you had some sort of artistic skill 'could help too. :p
-
Straight up Vasudan mjolnir is about an hour model-to-conversion job, though.
Or you could always shove a gigantic turret on the cargo deck of a Ma'at or something.

SA is alive? This is news to me. :p
Aldo, I was thinking a new model, not just a reskinned Mjolnir.
I could convert an Anuket miner into an RBC, tho... ;7
(Actually, that's not a bad idea. I oughta do that.)

Neither was i. Straight up flat tube with slight bevelled front detail and a dp on the back, 4 'leafs' rotating around it. Very simple, very easy design.
-
sounds like a simple version of babylon 4
actually Mb I'll have a pop if you like.
-
Go right ahead, that'd be great :)

Bwa ha ha ha ha... :drevil:

Round off some of the edges, otherwise it'll look a little too Terran.

all I'd say is to change the bottom panels to look a bit like petals, and you should be fine.
-
I'd use the Vasudan AWACS texture for the pannels/petals.
-
I wouldn't, that texture's a mess. You might find something usable there, but you're more likely to come out with an indistinguishable blob.
-
Hey Mad Bomber. Check your private messages. ;)
-
Did, Sesq.
Mag1, that looks good so far, tho it does look more Terran than Vasudan ATM. Perhaps the inner ring could be rounded off and smoothed, for a more Zod-ish bubble-like effect.

You did? Hm...

Ah, there it is. I must have missed it somehow. Answered now.

Looks like a clone of the Ma'at to me.

Thats because it is. I used it as a base for mounting a beam cannnon. I was thinking that i might just make the cannon like a cargo unit. The Ma'at docks with it to move it into position. A command interface between the feighter and the beam container give controle.
I chose the Ma'at for the docking section and from that i could make a big enough system to mount the beam while still being able to point it in a frontal assult.

what about this:

Pretty cool I'd say :D
-
That one is good. what kind of weapon did u intend to arm it with?
-
any rotating parts ?

one super mega powerful BVas:D and mayby 1 aaaf + two standard turrets ( simple af deffence )
any rotating parts ?
i was thinking about those two solar panels or mayby it will be without rotating parts:doubt: i dont know yet.
-
I'd make the part with the "blades" rotating, and perhaps bring the number of blades to 2 or 3, but then it might start to copy too much from the Apothesis Destroyer from Inferno.
Later!
-
Make the horizontal fins bigger and have them and the larger ones counter rotate. Pays homage to the original Mjolnir concept, and the sweeping fins reduce the likeness to the apothess.
-
c914, that's really good :)
