Well, guess I should get on with saying farewell.
My first University term starts tomorrow - I move out in around 12 hours. I'm not sure what kind of net access I'll have there so my time online may be completely reduced (or things may not change to much at all).
At any rate, if the worst comes to the worst and I disappear... well, it's been great around here...seeing things from day one to this point has been an experience to say the least! I hope to visit this place when I get the oppertunity (at home or whatever).
Take care everyone, best of luck with whatever you end up doing with yourselves. Keep on having fun here and don't abuse the admins just because I'm gone ;)

Portsmouth, it's on the south coast of the UK. I'll be doing Internet Technology (BSc HONS) unless I switch to a photography course (something I'm giving heavy thought to).

Enjoy Uni life Thunder, 'tis a blast. Remember, nothing is impossible (except playing pool in weeks 1 and 2, getting a taxi when you need one, having a timetable that suits your girlfriend, and realizing how easy the previous year was till it's over).

They die out quick, in my experience. 2 weeks and they're down the pub all day, another 2 and they're down the broo all day.

I will tempt the trolls only when given a good reason to. These reasons are defined by the definition of the reasons I defined last year. If these definitions are correct, and incorrectly favorable (unless the wicket is out of alignment) in my favor (favorably), they shall be re-defined until the re-defined definition of the previously ill-defined defintion is hereafter re-defined (definatly).
When the trolls are tempted (when the reason is correctly defined), I shall flame in my own defense...unless my cats say otherwise (at which point, flaming shall be offensive).

Haven't I? I've been to many forums...and that seems to be the case. People like an0n can cuss, flame, and do whatever...and won't get banned. And if they do, it is only for a week and a half tops...usually.
Newer members can simply tick off a moderator and get a near-permanent ban.
When I get bored sometimes, I log on and go use the search button. Amazing the things you can find.
No offense meant to anyone, this is just the way I see it...which isn't all that much of a problem, if you think about it. If we new-guys just lay low, we should be fine...and sadly, laying low is something I find too hard... :doubt: My own fauit, I guess.

First of all, An0n's been banned at least 5 times now. It's very rare that anyone is permabaned from these forums, even the trolls. Usually it's just for a week or so (a little longer for An0n now, but he's earned that attention) and even that doesn't happen often. That's not what this community is about. And I've never seen a member banned who was not deserving of it. In a lot of cases, as far as Mr. Search is concerned, the offending material no longer exists; done more often than not to close wounds that have been opened, the Admins/moderators like to remove the source of the problem, be it a post or a picture, then that post may easily be removed. So if you're going to roll back into the history of these forums to look up treatment of newbies and trolls, try to remember that.
We do not "sacrafice" anyone when we can help it, and when it becomes an absolute necessity to lay it on the line, the community does so for whoever is being the least beligerant, regardless of that "Registered" tag at the bottom of their posts.
