Who's ready for a wild ride? (http://www.cnn.com/2004/TECH/space/10/03/xprize.advancer.reut/index.html)

Such rediculos prices, i'll never go into space:(

In 10 years it'll cost as much as a commercial plane ticket does today, and all the companies will be broke just like the commercial carriers of today.

There's something unsettling about flying into a frozen vaccuum with a company operating under a 'cut all costs' mentality.
The only way you're getting me into space is aboard my private shuttle, so I can be damn sure no-one's cut corners with the air-lock seals to keep to budget.

Maybe, but my uncle worked for US Air, and it, Delta and about all of the major international carriers are going bankrupt and firing much of their staff because their business models are crap and centered around impossibly expensive mechanisms in both outlay for new aircraft and maintenance of older planes. When they changed it from a flying bus like it was in the late 50s to "daytrips for jetsetters" was when they started to die.
