GameSpy's dynamic servers (on which the forum and HLP 2.0 reside) were hit with a malicious attack, which were on top of a stretch of SQL problems that we've been having on and off for the past year or so.

Actually, the SQL problems after the Dynamic servers were brought back online were not problems per se - we just didn't get the new usernames/passwords, which had been changed during the server restoration process, so we couldn't connect to the database.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I would still classify it as a 'problem', though, insomuch as we couldn't get onto HLP. ;)

Maybe you admin-guys can check on the front page ? There is
still no automatic link to HLP 2.0, you end up on the old screen with the last post from 29th Oct, saying "we are soon back up".

This could give some users the imagination, that HLP is still down.

Just a suggestion, since I noticed that myself :p
