Democracy works whether you get the result you wanted or not. At least had a chance to win. Me, and much of the rest of the world, didn't even have a candidate running that represents our beliefs.

If Bush wins, and it is determined that it was a more or less fair election, tough ****. And if Kerry wins, again, I expect the Republicans to take it like adults. The Bible Belters actually make up a rather small percentage of Bush voters, at least when it comes to votes (financially, its another story). They're on the fringe, so don't go on about Christo-fascists ruining the country because whenever you use a stupid, invented word like that, I immediately think of Limbaugh's "Islamo-fascists" or Hannity's "Feminazis".

And finally, why is the map partitioned into 4 sections? Whats up with the purple and torquise?

But again, what are the purple and torquoise sections? The west coast should be blue, and the purple should be red, then you would be close to the actual split.
