Go check it out at //www.nilerodgers.com then vote.
Personal favorites are Ghosts of Reach, Peril, Follow, Blow Me Away, and Heavy Price Paid.
If you like one that is not listed in the poll (there are a few) hit other and post titles.
-
I like 3rd Movement of the Odyssey the best. Damn, those all sound good!!
-
Blow me away
-
Halo Theme, Mjolnir Remix

Halo Theme, Mjolnir Remix
What he said.
-
****, I'm buying.
Flawed Legacy = Perchance to Dream remix
Impend = beautiful opening
-
It all sounds so *****IN'!
EDIT: Probably Blow me Away...
-
Halo Theme, Mjolnir Remix
Seconded. The coolest and most addictive track from Halo, only better.
-
I am gonna say "Follow" is my current favorite. "Blow Me Away comes in at second, and "Ghosts of Reach" and "In Amber Clad" are tied for third.

Not particularly fond of Breaking Benjamin. That song makes me like them even less. At least the Incubus stuff is decent.
-
Halo Theme, Mjolnir Remix
It's as good as Sonic Adventure's Open Your Heart. :D
-
Halo Theme, Mjolnir Remix
Earth City
heavy price paid
The Last Spartan
those are my favorites
-
Am I the only one (aside from Anaz) who thinks Mjolnir Remix needs more bass?
-
Earth City, and Mjolnir Remix (yes, with more bass). ;)
-
It says "Offical Soundtrack Vol. 1".
Does that mean there's gonna be another volume to it?
Ghosts of Reach sounds a lot like Dust and Echos or the Maw at first...
Ehh...I'm against anything with lyrics being played in a game. Destroys the immersion factor totally. Not that the stuff with lyrics here isn't good music, 'cuz it is, but I object to it on prinicipal.
-
Yeah. The "inspired" stuff is Volume 1, and all the remaining in-game stuff goes into Volume 2. Read the interview with Marty O'Donnell at GameSpy.
-
Okay, okay, I'm an idiot. Wooh!
-
Blow me away is in game w/o lyrics
-
Which would work.... :D
-
For an interesting effect, play 'Ghosts of Reach' and the Intro from Freespace 2 together at the same time.
-
Mjolnir Remix, another reason, I think, why Halo 2 will crap all over HL2 in everything but technical excellence...
-
From what I've heard so far, I prefer the original's soundtrack.

H2 is much more hyped game and has title "most awaited game in gaming history" I think VU did bad decision lauching HL2 almost same as H2
-
I'm partial to both :p
-
Meh, Never played Half Life. So far it doesn't seem so great (but then again, I haven't seen much of it).
-
I'll take both too.
-
New snippet from "High Charity" has been released. Mostly orchestal ambience (in the snippet).
-
Another new snippet, this time its "Connect" by Hoobastank. Apparently its "different" from all the other snippets.

A fanboy I may be, but you've just demonstrated you're no better - worse, in fact, since I have no issues with people expressing their opinions

I doubt it, you don't get far on that level of business by making monumentally stupid decisions... You're right about the hype though. Halo left me on the edge of my seat, as I suspect it did for millions of others - and that's why the continuation/conclusion of the story has far more appeal than HL2's fancy physics and lip syncing.
-
From what I have seen, Halo 2 has lip synching. And improved physics.
-
True dat, Sid. For me, it's not so much the engine (though that's amazing), but the story that I want resolved. Half-Life's story just sort of confused me, and much less has been made of it when compared to Halo.
Btw, did you say "High Charity"? That's the name of the Covenant Holy City at the end of First Strike...
-
w00t! Reserved HALO2 Special Edition tonight! Should get a call Monday night saying it's in! :D:D:D

Well I didn't so much like Half-life story, HALO story is more epic and there is so much more. so i prefer halo. And I just can't wait see where Halo 2 story is going

Special edition ?
-
Agreed, HIG.
Roanoke, I think he's referring to the limited collector's edition you get when you pre-order. :)
-
They gave the option of reserving the standard edition, or for $5 more theres one with the making of the game, and all this other useless stuff that's still cool to have. It's probably the one you're supposed to get when you preorder, but since this is EBGames, they wanna charge more for it. :p Everyone else in the mall is doing the same thing...

**** off and die.

Don't be such a ****in' ***** because you 'hate MS' and refuse to buy an XBox.
-
I don't hate MS. I despise MS. For not putting out a ****ing Halo 2 PC. It's not that I wouldn't buy their queerbox either, I'm sorry I just don't have the $300 dollars to buy one. :doubt:
-
Christmas is coming. Have you been a good little boy?
-
(pssst. $149.99 to buy one w/ two sports games)

Oh **** off with the usual anti-Microsoft bile... as if Bungie had no choice but to be bought up and were forced at gunpoint to develop it for XBox rather than for PC. They knew full well what a contract with Microsoft would entail, and so are fully responsible for the exclusivity to the console.

:blah: It costs you $300? USD, right? That's like twice as much as it costs here in Aus. :nervous:
-
I paid $300 CAD for mine with the 1 year unlimited warranty, and that was a year ago. They're selling the things at a loss FFS.
-
Me like Half-life...me sorta liked Halo 1...me was impressed by the big ass sky cannon you see soon after you crashland on the Halo...although...I did wonder if the cannon blew holes on the other side of the halo...considering it was firing straight up...

It's ~$150.00USD and you get a game or two with it... Atleast, here on the East (best) coast...
-
I've seen it for $124.99USD here in California.
-

Well Halo2 sells 1,5 million copies in one day and console market is far larger (40 billion$ every year)
as if Bungie had no choice but to be bought up
Actually Bungie did have choice but they wanted do Console game.
before MS did buy Bungie Halo was planned for PS2,PC and MAC too

Well that's the bite of it HIG, the XBox is not appreciably different from a midlevel PC in its construction or component, it can be modded to run linux to pete's sake. I don't care if they release it on the GatesBox, but the code base is basically the same, how hard would it be to pay a little extra and have a dual-release? It would save you from losing money on an XBox.
And on consolde gaming: I've played around on a friend's XBox and PS2. I prefer my PC. I realize that's anecdotal and not worth much, but I really prefer PCs for almost every type of game you can imagine.

Not releasing Halo 2 (and Halo) for the PC is pure marketing and nothing else. If halo had been available for the PC when the X-box launched the sales would have probably halved.
The same goes for Halo 2. Only now it's not the X-Box itself that is making the money. Halo 2 for the X-box costs ~£50. For the PC it would be around £35
Given that many gamers have a more powerful PC than an X-Box why would they pay £15 extra for an inferior looking game?
-
Dolby 5.1 and 480p. Bigger is better.

Not that good. Thing is, I'd rather get other things than a new console just to play one game.

Bungie has 60 workers most of them worked Single-player and 4 worked Multi-player code so Dual release would be too hard for them when Xbox versio was most important.
oh btw there is mediablow and reviews in
GameSpy
TeamXbox
Gamespot
IGN

That's not really fanboyism, it's looking at a point objectively...
You've been hanging around Kazan too long. :p
-
.......
Anyway, for the other people who have trouble detecting irony, MS is still retarded for keeping the PC version away from me either way. They are evil. Get over it.
-
It's so easy to brand something evil...
They may make inferior products, and market them as best as they can in an effort to make as much money as possible, but that's more Capitalism than being evil. Unless you argue that Capitalism = evil.
-
Well, capitalism is based on screwing over the next man as much as possible for your own benefit, so unless you see that as a good value...
And I said nothing of thier products being inferior (certainly not Halo), just that their ****ing assholes for not giving me my Halo 2 PC version.
