Perhaps I played it too late, but I wasn't impressed by the original Halo much at all. Mediocre graphics, and downright stupidly planned levels (can anyone say "repetitive"?).
First one to get me a fully playable version of Halo 2 gets a soul. And two blonde virgins.

Sacriledge! *shot* The Library was supposed to a homage, if you will, to the older FPS games.
If you're willing to kidnap somebody two blonde virgins for it and risk lots of jail time, then explain your logic as to why you are not willing to pay $125 USD for an X-box. Surely the X-box would be cheaper...

- Why don't you first explain your logic as to why Halo 2 is not out for PC?

FPS dosnt belong on a console. If you want to see a real FPS, play Tribes: Vengence. It kicks ass. [/B]
Halo was the most overrated game in history.

ok, i can almost understand why people might say HalfLife was overrated. afterall the graphics were old even at the time. the gameplay is simple : run, shoot, shoot some more. hell, if you were to analyze each component of HL, i doubt even i would give any one of them higher than an 9.0. which is why it's so cool that HL manages to be better than the sum of all its parts. and why it is the best PC Game ever.

So you didn't like it, because you were incapable of defeating it?
Hardly grounds to dismiss the game, but carry on :)

Full storyline, I mean.

Nope, cos it was intensely irritating. Stupid tippy-tappy gameplay which required, IIRC, following a very dull formula of something like chuck grenade - run - chuck grenade, etc. And other stuff put me off, which I can't remember offhand.

well...in regards to having multiple rings, that's kind of a given as guilty spark says something along those lines "this installations purpose is to contact the other installations" etc...

another ring? thats a shocker.
I knew there were more rings but....earth and ring 05? one game? while defending earth from covenant? ye
so the Master Chief must leave remains of ring 04, travel to earth, defend it from an invasion then gather enough UNSC forces to assault another ring?...that's kind of...twisted
...he has to find out where the other rings are too...

...buh? MC was the only survivor from the original Halo. And he left in the longsword. How would he arrive with a crew in a covenant vessel?

I absolutely love the energy sword. Given the choice of a gun or the sword, I'll usually take the sword (except if I need to kill hunters or vehicles). Its particularly useful against the Flood, as it completely destroys them, preventing the little bastards from reviving the bodies.
Even after the energy runs out, you can just beat the **** out of enemies with the hilt.

Is it just me, or have the Flood recieved a MAJOR improvement in regards to toughness? I can't seem to effectively kill them with anything short of a Plasma Sword or Shotgun (every other non-explosive weapon may as well be a BB gun for all it stops them).
