"A man with a sawed-off shotgun sucked bullets out of two cashiers and a pedestrian at a South London bank tomorrow, and forced terrified bank employees to accept 10,000 pounds in cash."
-
16 years. And to think I've been playing Conflict Freespace ever since it came out back in -98, well... :D
-
16.....
-
20. I don't think I'll actually celebrate any more birthdays. or even admit them.
-
16, but cynical as ****, and always waay to overconcerned. (Well, not always. When I stopped that teacher from walking under a bus in Rome it might've been usefull).

what about 21? it doesn't exactly open any more doors, except possibility to get drivers license for rigs and such.
-
20....
...And condition of 70 year old :D ..Actually.. That aint't funny at all......
-
32, I know how you feel Getter. Ever wonder if you're getting too old for this? ;)
-
17... with the mental power of a peanut...
-
Are you kidding me? How many hobbies can geezers like us enjoy where we get to just sit on our asses (and frequently add our opinions - oops - I mean VAST stores of WISE life experience). PLUS we get to blow lots of stuff up (and the state won't press charges!)
[The can have my joystick when they pry it from my cold, dead hands]
-
24.
-
ROFLMAO!!!
Good for you :D I'm pretty much the same, I can live like a grown up, but I utterly refuse to stop having fun simply because other people think I'm too old for it, I mean, there are men of 50+ doing CG stuff in films, so why not ;)
-
20 here.
You can NEVER get too old for FreeSpace. To say such things is heresy punishable by immediate spacing. Alternatively we could just drown wrongdoers in Bosch Beer......
-
Will be 19 next 21st of March.
18 presently.

21st = massive party here - pretty much the biggest birthday you're going to have til at least 40 or 50. I assumed it was universal, but apparently not.
-
21 Is the last 'Upwards' Birthday in the UK, the next one is 30, which is sort of like a Goodbye party for your youth ;)
40+ Parties really just mean 'Yay! I'm still alive!' ;)
-
22 in three months. Scary.
-
Do I detect a seriously well defined bell curve in that there poll? ;)
-
LOL Would it just happen to contain a large number of people who were 13-15 when Freespace 2 came out.
Except me and Gevetter and 2 unknown others, who were about 27-29 :nervous:
But hey, I played Text-based star-trek, when it was a brand new concept!
-
15, been playing since it came out in 99 :D
-
I was younger when I played FS1 for the first time. I could not complete the Enter the Dragon mission because I did not understand the briefing.

I've survived the universe for a little over 25 years.
Still unstoppable! Well, except for this fractured ankle. :D

I remember starting gaming in the early 90s. I was about 7 or 8. Seems like a lifetime ago. I personally miss those days. :(
And what's worse, life tends to speed up the older you get. Ugh I hate that.

Was 21 on the 6th November :)

what's so special about your 21st birthday....?
-
20 and 21 in July. Interesting correlation between the highest ranking age groups here and the time at which the FreeSpace games were released.. that puts most of us quite squarely in our teenage years.
Conclusion? Teenagers are geeks ;)
-
I just entered my teenage years when I played FS1 for the first time. I was even younger when I played with Descent.
Can you imagine a 9 year-old child with a Joystick in his hands playing the predecessor of FreeSpace?
-
Yes. A lot of us were.
-
Were you parents gamers???
Perhaps you are a product of superior breeding by two XvT pilots (look out Shivans!) :D
-

it's legal to buy at pubs/clubs from 18, in stores from 20, here. neighbouring countries have lower age restrictions.

Aye, perhaps, but you know what the Army says: Every year spent as an infantryman will age you three years.... so I guess that makes me 58.......
