-
bottom one, closest to camera.
-
yeah, its classic.
-
my friend has the bottom one, i've played it quite often. i have the black one.
-
i kinda like the black and red
-
Indeed... I'd love to be able to play the black and red one!
-
i like the blue one, im no musician though, my talents lie in athletics
-
Bleh, Strats... I'm a Gibson man myself, but hey - at least it's got a humbucker! I'd go for the black, and get a mirror/silver scratchplate. The white ones are nasty.
-
I've got an acoustic bass guitar, not that I can do anymore then the most basic on it.
I'd go for red&black.
-
I didn't know you could get an acoustic base myself.
Drew, the bottom one is the best, but second bottom is quite nice.
I've got a basic (beginners) Yamaha jobby but I never really got going.
-
I have a black one, and I'd recommend the same. You can then make friends with a tatooist and let her loose with an airbrush on the guitar, the results are usually quite interesting ;)
My personal favourite is a L'Arivee, there weren't all that many made, and I've got an early one. They are basically Gibson copies, but it plays like a dream.
Acoustic Basses are usually double bases. If anyone ever wants to buy a cheap Electric Bass, I thoroughly recommend the Aria Pro-2, it's a cheap little bass with a heck of a lot of balls ;)

Ah, another Gibson fan. You'd be suprised how many people I speak to today think Washburns are better in quality than Gibsons. I mean sure, to an extent how you define how "good" a guitar is is how you personally like the touch, etc. but you can't compete with Gibson.
however, with the price tags they have, chances are I won't be personally owning a Gibson for a long, long time.

Acoustic bass guitar<>double bass
Double bass is a violin like thingy, but then an awfull lot bigger. doublesized Chello.
Acoustic bass guitar== Acoustic guitar, but missing 2 strings and tuned an octave lower. It wasn't easy to find one of these in a reasonable priceclass, but I lucked out bigtime with one that has a good sound, but was only 180 euro's. (200USD, I think.) We put some decent quality strings on it and she plays great. The strings are a bit heavy to push in right, though. There isn't an electric element, but there is an internal mic and a jack out for playing in a band.
I'm not all that much of a fan of electric guitars. I generally prefer acoustics and slower music. Mind, most of the stuff I listen to contains electric guitars, but it doesn't seem to beat an acoustic for solo playing or for slower music.

Bottom one. Classic look, always a winner. :)

[color=66ff00]PRS would beg to differ. ;)
BTW the bottom colour scheme is commonly known as sunburst, the red tinted version is called cherryburst.

Beg being the operative word. :p
-
[color=66ff00]PRS is just about the pinnacle of mainstream electric guitar design. If it's the sound that you're talking about you can't really win that one as it's entirely subjective.
PRS has improved the entire design of the production guitar.

Normally I'd kick for the silver one, but that's pretty much Eric Clapton's signature color.
Go for the sunburst, and an excellent choice in a guitar I might add. Way to go!

I talked to a few people who know guitars, and they say this one is good for the price. Its got a variety of tones, they say. I like playing classic rock; like The Who and stuff, but i tend to bust out the Nirvana alot. Dunno, is this one suited well for that?
-
you can't compete with Gibson. it's been around, and all the best guitarists in the world all swear by it ;)
-
except its $2k tag
really stealth, i was talking about the strat :P
-
I have a fairly nice acoustic guitar, but I have no real information on types of electric. The one in front does look the best though....
-
For all around 'workhorse' guitars, fender and gibson have it cornered.

[color=66ff00]How do you quantify 'best'?
Most proficient, most musically interesting or some other ideal?

(http://www.bcrich.com/images/hi_res/SE_OnyxPickGuard_Warlock.jpg) That's what I would like to have.
-
Ick, that thing looks ugly......
And it's got 2 strings too much, but that's just me.......
