Title: Hey modeling guys, know anything about a program called FormZ?
Post by: Alan Bolte on November 11, 2004, 03:39:21 pm
I discovered recently that I have access at my college to a program called FormZ in many of the computer clusters. I looked around in it; it looks pretty nice, quite a lot of features. I was just wondering if anyone here had heard of it or used it, and had some opinions or tips to offer me as I teach myself to use it.

"Import and export utilities include Art·Lantis, BMP, DWG, DEM Data, DXF, EPS, FACT, HPGL, IGES, Illustrator, JPEG, Lightwave, Lightscape, OBJ, Photoshop, PICT, Piranesi, PNG, QTVR, RIB, SAT, STL, SGI, TGA, Targa, TIFF, VRML, 3DGF, 3DMF, 3DS, and VRML."

If I remeber the list correctly, they really do mean 'included, but not limited to'. It does look to be top of the line on the surface, I was just hoping someone had first-hand experience to share.

Hey, that's the program we use to export models to the 3D printers. I haven't used it myself, though.
