got it in one... i don't really care whether Half life 2, halo2, or GTA: SA is better than one another, i'll be playing them sooner or later.. ;)

I don't particularly care, actually. It's unlikely I'll buy anything besides Half-Life 2 and Halo 2. I was never a Metriod fan, and San Andreas just doesn't appeal to me that way GTA3 did for some reason.

Both are very awesome games, which is why I think they should just be rated equal. I haven't had the chance to play San Andreas, but I'll bet its fun as well.

Seriously, Half Life 2 looks gorgeous. As far as MP2 is concerned, it looks ok, but the gamecubes hardware cant give it the best graphics.

Oh BTW, the "Halo killer" Killswitch got something like a 7.5.

they're touting killzone as something that could go up against halo..

imo, it's okay, considering it's on the aging PS2 hardware... the textures and character models are rather sub-standard, however.. even for said console. (i've played the demo)

Plus, if you go here (http://www.gamerankings.com/itemrankings/simpleratings.asp?rankings=y) , you will find the BEST 10 games, EVER! (except like pac-man, tetris, pong, that sort of thing, etc...)

Number 1: Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It being an N64 game, and old, and sort of, um, nintendo-kiddie-ish (can i say that?) I reply with a resounding "WTF".

Number 2: HL2, baby

just having fun with stats, and gamerankings is awesome cause its, of course, the uber-game-score-looker-upper.

BTW... I've found that IGN generally goes easier on games, giving them a generally high score than GameSpot, which is VERY critical.

offhand, i'd say that HL2 and Halo2 just about match each other in various departments, moreso, in others, and so on.

it's a moot point, really, having played both, i can honestly say, that both of them were money well spent. :nod:

HL2 keeps me busy. And so does Far Cry. Every game so far has their ups and downs.

Post by: Flipside on November 19, 2004, 07:54:37 am: They probably will. It seems to me that the market is going to produce Sports games and FPS with the odd Warcraft based film-inspired or sequel RTS if they can be bothered.

Personally I'm tired of it. They've picked a genre and they are just upping and upping the targets to isolate and force upgrades. I can cope with those targets no problem, but I feel sorry for those who can't.

XBox version I don't have a problem with, after all, that's a game console, but I'm seriously losing faith with the PC market, which should, by rights, have far more flexibility.

Problamy not because Bungies next project will be for Xboxnext. Source is not enough (i think) better choice would be unreal 3.0 engine (one of Xboxnext game that is coming uses it) but i think that they develop own engine again.

When making those comments I was referring to HL2. So I agree that HL2 has better graphics but Halo 2 has the better story.
