They didn't do Scotland seperate, though, so it's no very fair........
-
No it's not, since we are superior! :D
-
Sweden as 5th
I'm all nice and set.
-
Hahaha. Obviously none of the surveyors actually lived here.
And the really should read increasing wealth VS traditional values. Its a big social debate as to whether increased wealth has robbed us of our humanity somewhat.
-
That'd be the catholocism kicking in I see...
-
Sixth? Can't be disappointed with that. ;)
-
Where's Canada? They usually come out near the top of these "quality of life" lists.
-
Bah. 6th. What would "The Economist" know anyway? Sounds like a shonky little tabloid to me.

We used to be at the top. Wtf happened?
-
It's political. Obviously.
"All but one of the top 10 were European countries."
And who are we trying to get ingratiated with after Iraq?
-
my country no 1??? impossible, good income? then why does my job suck, 7 euro 55 an hour, not alot of money here, did they include the cost of living as it is quite expensive here, and what traditional values, contrary to forign opinion we dont live in mud huts do dances every day and drink all the time, and those accents in american films, we all live in dumpy cities in housing estates now, no traditional values except in the west. summary: that magisine was completley wrong.

Actually its more stuff like the hill of tara being tarred over with a new motorway and superpubs replacing your old local as opposed to any loyalty to catholic doctrine. the vatican lost its hold on the Irish population after the sixties.
Rand al'Thor, GoulMeister, shut the **** up ya whinging bastards, yis dont know how ****ing lucky yis have it. Ye think ye have it so bad **** off and live somewhere else, ye wont be long coming home. Some people always want a bigger slice of the cake.
Tis expensive to live here though, house prices are ridiculous and car insurance is the highest in Europe iirc, that said practically everyone from the North shops down here so there must be something good about it. Quality of life is v good though overall, even Limerick is a nice enough place to live these days. Best in the world? dunno, but for the average joe it certainly isnt that bad, if somebody dies in a car crash it makes the national news for example.

No, this cant be right! Sweden is 5th, but where is Finland?

Nobody's surprised the entire list is places nobody cares about and/or don't exist, are they?
-
Ever since they started taxing the leprechauns, Ireland has been rolling in money. Bastards; exploiting a naturally occuring phenomenon for their self benefit.
-
I'd like to go to number 6...
-
Lucky 13.
