Ahoy. You may remember that I had applied for a commission in the Royal Navy. Last week, I passed my Admiralty Interview Board. This puts me on the waiting list for the Brittania Royal Naval College.
You may now congratulate me. That is all.
-
Nice one.
And before anyone says it, Hello Sailor.
-
ahoy matey. jolly good.
-
Well done. What're you aiming for?
-
Good Luck with that, DG.
-
Oof. Good luck. Military school wouldn't have been my top choice, but luckily for you, you're not me. ;)
-
Congratulations DG, you are now officially in the Navy.

Commandeer whatever boat you're on and be a pirate. You can rename your ship the Volition Bravos. :D
Anyway, congatulations!

Target-wise, germans. But career-wise, air crew.
Cheers dudes.

As it happens the AIB is at HMS Sultan in Gosport. But there couldn't have been drinkies - God damned medical meant no alchohol or caffeine for 48 hours, which was quite frankly an utter bastard... You pass your board and can't even go to the pub to celebrate :blah:
-
I've been accepted. PH34R!

good work dude, dont sucked into any intakes or anything
-
So, a life of rum and sodomy is for diamondgeezer, eh?

Come now my lads,
'tis to glory we sail,
to add something more to this wonderful year...
Erm, yes, anyway...
Congratulations dg, you'll do well I'm sure. :) (And if you get the chance to "miss" a target during practise and accidentally hit a labour party conference...)
-
Do ships have broadband?...
Well done anyway! :)
-
keep an eye out for the coral reefs.
-
Buy some proper deck shoes if they dont give you any. You'll thank me when the first storm hits and you have to lash things down in it.

Rum Sodomy and the Lash, wasn't it?
Since you're going for flight school, will you be getting navy officer training first, or just pilot training?

Pirates: We set sail for adventure
We set sail for the sun
We set sail for the new land
On the horizon!
Why do we set sail?
Because we are bold!
Why do we set sail?
Because we are told!
Why do we set sail?
My dear fellows truth be told,
We set sail in our lusty search for gold.
We have rudders, we have reels,
We have cannons, we have keels...
Captain Grace: We have courage and compassion!
Pirates: And we have our darling captain!
Pirate: And we're ready for some action!
:D

1 year basic training at BRNC Dartmouth --> pass out as sub-lieutenant
RNAS Culdrose --> Basic Observer training in sims and Jet Streams
And finally a training squadron to convert to whatever front-line aircraft I get --> full lieutenant's stripes
