Wicked work dude! I imagine it'd be handy if you did one for all the ships in the game... and offered to do them for campaigns and stuff as well (like UA and so on) (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

I'm getting my info from the VBB - no it isnt.
But I don't see how it could be hard to animate it - you might not be able to get it to rotate as smoothly as Volitins do, but if that approach is totally impossible then why not do it in "snapshots" of top, bottom, left, right, back and front? it'd give you the same complete view of the ship, just no smooth spinny thing...

If I tried to make it spin, it would take me an obscenely long time - as some of you may know, I do all of my work in my imaging software. So it would mean I would have to render each frame individually. I think I'll stick with stills for now. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Besides, a fully animated version of it would be too large to download.

Actually, if it were compressed, an ANI shouldn't take that long to download. If someone would like to actually animate them, I would rather use those ones than my ones. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

well, if you send me 3ds files, I think I can do you enough renders for you to make a ani... just tell me the size of the pics, their color depth (256 I guess), and how many frames. I'm used to make spining anims thanx to Red Alert (the Westwood Studio's game), creating sprites for the 2d units works all the same (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
