Yep, that's an omega. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
-
But a unique angle. We don't normally see Omega's on that kind of angle.
-
True.

I like it! it's really dark and moody, gives the impression that your being repressed by these huge destroyers, and theres almost nothing you can do to stop it, it almost sums up capitalism (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

That's fantastic. I really love the lighting and nebula, they both complement each other. Nice job. But where are the ubiquitous captions and black top/bottom frames you always seem to have? (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
-
Maybe he realised how some pics do look better without them. They do look nice, but in some ways it's an excuse to work less on a pick...

He's not doing the work, the 'puter is.

i put the black bars in because i like to do my pics in widescreen ratio, but when i put em as my wallpaper i dont want em streached,
it also allows me to put credits in without ruining te picture itself, and i usuall give the pics a name to better express them
this one has no bars or title because i never inteded to use it as a wallpaper
and as for the Computer doing all the work i spent the better part of 3hrs setting that up thank u very much

wow........what takes so long setting it up? Did you have to go and move various stuff around or what?
-
Nice lighting would be a lot of it. Positioning. Nebulae. I would think lighting would take the longest, as that is what takes me the longest time.
-
I see what you mean Reaperman (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
and I agree with you (Setekh) about the lighting... funny how it can make or break a picture...

That pic gives me the feeling of being ran over (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
Very nice.
-
ok, what took so ling
firstly was gettingthe Omega into the right position, THAT took about an 30mins, just setting it up, doing test renders and what have u
then the Lighting THAT took about 1 1/2 hrs, there are 3 spotlights providing the lights, and i wanted to get that nice highlight u see on the nearest Omega's Rotating section
then i did the Nebula in Photoshop, did a test render, spent anotehr hr tweaking bits before i was happy with it
then spent about an hr rendering the *****
