this campaign looks good...
but, in several times...i had NO directives in my HUD...and no OBJECTIVES at all...
this REALLY hindered the gameplay of the campaign...and other problems...like: receiving orders to destroy something that's already destroyed...and stuff...

Casualties of War was a bit of a flawed campaign in my opinion. It looked great but it needed some further playtesting before it was released.
I did enjoy playing it though.

I actually lost the first buglist for CoW, so had to retest it; went from having about 5-8 pages of various nitpicks to 2, because I spent less time.
To be fair, CoW was originally only intended to be 'practice' for Reci; Shadowwolf did a good job Freding (and came up with some great mission concepts as well), but I never got enough tester feedback (I think about 2 emails saying "it's ok") and just got too impatient & semi-rushed it out.
but it was intended to be a learning experience for me, and it was, so I guess I can't complain :D

I did actually post a reasonable number of bugs myself when it was released. The thread is probably still around somewhere.

Those would probably have been handled in the voice-acted version, had it ever been finished. But we didn't have enough people, really, and Shadowwolf had to drop out for a while, so it just got put on the backburner and eventually dropped.

Yeah, it did seem rushed. I noticed very few backgrounds, if any at all, and the sun was often RIGHT IN MY EYES as I started the mission.
Also seemed like you were extremely reluctant to use the Y-axis -- positional OR rotational -- when designing your missions. (12 Sobeks and a Hatshepsut, and they all happen to be exactly on the plane of the ecliptic, facing the exact same direction?)
A good campaign concept (if a bit rehashed), but kinda ruined by some of the non-functional SEXPing. Could have done with more testing and patience, and a bit less craziness in terms of capital ships.
