Title: Goldie Lookin Chain - Bwuahahaha!
Post by: an0n on November 26, 2004, 08:56:44 pm
They're a welsh rap group.

They look like this:

This is the tracklist from their album:
Quote
1. Manifesto
2. Self Suicide
3. Guns Don't Kill People Rappers Do
4. Half Man Half Machine
5. Roller Disco
6. Soap Bar
7. Billy Webbs Lament
8. Your Mothers Got A Penis
9. Maggot
10. You Knows I Loves You
11. Leeroy Fashion Lament
12. 21 Ounces
13. Time To Make A Change

And most spectacularly, they named their first/debut album: Greatest Hits.

I am in awe of the depth of comedy involved.

I realize their Welsh, but they could find a token black guy and say he was from Wales?

You're missing the genius of it.

They're characatures of rappers mixed with the inherant lameness and try-to-hard attitude of everything and everyone Welsh.

I just listened to the album and (aside from Ricky Grover's midget routine) it is the funniest thing I've ever heard.

Manifesto is some kind of A-Team theme rip off.

Self Suicide takes the piss out of everyone who got famous from dying.

Guns Don't Kill People is a parody of all gangsta-rap.

Half-Man Half-Machine: I AM A ROBOT, RAARRRGH!

Roller Disco is about stoned people at the roller disco.

Soap Bar is about drugs, plain and simple.

Billy Webb's Lament is a radio interview parody.

Your Mother's Got A Penis - Have a guess.

The Maggot is basically rapping over a NES game theme.

You Know I Loves You is a rip off of all those early-90's brit-pop love song pieces of **** and is funny as hell.

Leeroy's Fashion Lament: "I - am Elvis."

21 Ounces is about drugs.

Time To Make A Change is just plain strange.

It's like they took everything from Run DMC up to Shamen, mixed it all up, ran it through a NES's sound chips and then rapped about issues important to 12 year olds and wiggaz (like sniffing glue and giving cigs to your girlfriend).

I love the ****ing thing.

Buy it. Seriously.

Heh. Odd. You're description of the tracks actually makes me want to listen to it less. Which I didn't think was possible.

Can you think of anything more pathetic than wanna-be gansta rappers who are white, and come from the countryside*?

*well, it is Wales after all.  One of them must be a farmer.
