OK video card exparts, I currently run a Gainward Ti4800 with a whopping 64mb RAM. Everyone's favourite hardware shop, PC World, is selling this little number (http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0671314646.1101671393@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccckadddefldmjkcflgceggdhhmdgmi.0&page=Product&sku=403683) for half-price.
Buy it or no?

Hmh, tough question. If you are short on money and it's video card that's holding rest of your system back, then go for it. Otherwise its probably not worth it.

Fair call - the rest of the system is arranged thuswise:
Asus A7V8X-X
Athlon XP 1800 o/c to 2GHz w/ HUGE-ASS heat sink
1GB PC2100 Crucial RAM
Maxtor Diamond Plus 80GB w/ 2MB Cache (IIRC)
I mean I would like a new card, I just feel that I ought to be looking at 256Mb memory... not to mention the dodgy RAMDACs used on most of the 5700 range...

I feel like your GF4 will do fine with your current system. I'd say save the money and then upgrade both CPU and video card.
