What is SCO?
Smells like All Your Bases Are Belonging to Us.
-
I guess we need to get Freespace running on Linux and then you will know all about SCO.
-
haha the guy who wrote that is using IE
-
Well it apparently is a company that owns all our code. And that we have to pay all our money.
-
SCO claims that all versions of Linux and many versions of Unix contain proprietary code that belongs to them and they have sued everybody from Red Hat to IBM for exhorbitant amounts of money. It's something of a running joke these days however. SCO used to be a decent company, but they got bought out and the lawsuits started shortly thereafter.
-
I bet Microsoft is funding de-stabilization of the Linux and Unix community...*hides*:nervous:

i agree SCO sucks
SCO is nothin but a big lying bully
It makes me angry to see SCO tryin to disrupt the GPL(general public license) and the freedom of the Open source community
Arrrgghh:mad:

If you look closely at the switched image you can see the defacer left their name.
It'll be hilarious if this person gets caught (they use the username in the image on EFnet).

there is some pretty good evidence that macroshaft is behind SCO on this
all the business mags have realized that SCO is a joke and IBM is going to own them like a redheaded stepchild
-
I support SCO's effort to enforce it's right to patented technology.
-
Gotcha
:p
Naw, there a bunch of thieving wankpots.
-
I would support their rights in the matter... if I thought they had any.
Even if they do, ten mintues after a ruling, three dozen patches'll start circulating to strip their code out of *nix systems...
-
They won't show anybody the code they claim is theres, and when they did show some of it, other people appeared instantly who could prove they'd written the code, so...
**** SCO. This guy rules.
-
SCO is amusing in a Segway/Kim Jong-il/Derek Smart/nGage sorta way.
-
Are you 'Plasma' Plasma, or just some random Plasma?
And the nGage shouldn't even be mentioned. It is terrifying in it's stupidity. Like a baby with a fork and an electrical outlet.
-
Although the nGage QD does function as a phone quite nicely. Can't say the same for the original nGage though.
