If you want to use them, you really should explain some of the more obscure mathematical and/or programming symbols for us laymen.

A -= B means A = A - B

INF should be obvious

It's a C++ symbol that means subtract and place the answer in the same variable.

x-= take x subtracts it from itself and puts the result back into x.  You run into memory memory problems real quick with that kind of math.
